50 Cent eyes Nicki Minaj as his co-star in a romantic comedy.
According to the Black Mafia Family executive producer, if he was to star in a romantic comedy, he’d like to have rapper Nicki Minaj as his co-star. While on the “Jalen Rose: Renaissance Man Podcast,” the rap legend was quick to single out Minaj as his favorite co-star.
“You know who would probably be fun to work with? Nicki,” said 50 Cent. “Nicki Minaj would be fun to be in a romantic comedy with.”
The “Get Rich or Die Trying” rapper has always spoken highly of Minaj, who also grew up in the New York neighborhood of South Jamaica, Queens, like 50.
According to him, he feels he can relate to Minaj because he knows how she is.
“I kinda understand her a little bit more than the other people,” he said. “When she’s being an asshole because she’s telling you, ‘You’re not going to take advantage of me.’”
Minaj has recently been heavily criticized for her sentiments towards the vaxx in which many felt she was misinformed. However, Minaj had clarified that that was not the case as she would eventually take the vaccine to travel and do tours but that she had many questions that she’s seeking to do research on.
While Minaj can be said to have a tough, intimidating personality, 50 says he understands the kind of person she is and what causes her to react. He also defended her relationship with her husband, Kenneth Petty, who is presently facing charges for failing to register as a sexual offender in California due to a previous 1995 attempt rape conviction in New York.
The rapper has always shared his love for Nicki, noting that he admired her.
While speaking with Lil Wayne on Young Money Radio last year, he called her an “alpha female.”
“I love me some Nicki. This na actually happens to come from my neighborhood. It happens to be a girl, but that na is tough!” he said.
“She be harder than the n*a she fk with. She be harder and she’s an alpha female! That motherf**ker tough! You see what I’m saying, son? You got to watch her or she’ll go–she’ll do something that’s pulling a move to assert herself.”
Minaj has been on an extended hiatus since giving birth to her son last September. Her baby, who she calls Papa Bear, is celebrating his first birthday this week.
In the late 90s, hip-hop fans became enamored with BET’s Rap City. The show’s host, at one point, Big Tigger, brought an entertaining format of interviews, and fans got to hear their favorite rappers freestyle as well. His show, called Rap City: Tha Basement, was a staple between 1999-2005 for many.
So it’s really exciting news to hear that it will soon be on air once again. Big Tigger used Instagram to announce earlier today, September 30, that Rap City is being revamped for a 2.0 version of the show.
Big Tigger recently made a return in front of the camera after he joined up with Rapsody for the REVOLT TV video show Off The Top. The show shared a similar format to Rap City and featured special guests in-studio who would drop a few bars before answering some questions about their careers.
Big Tiger, who hasn’t seemed to age, said, “This is not a drill… This is not a throwback… #RapCity21 ??Details soon…” on Instagram alongside a photo of him sitting in a similar setting to the original show.
When Off The Top first started back in July, the first guest was Conway The Machine. At that time, Big Tigger, whose real name is Darian Morgan, spoke with HipHopDX about why he felt the need to do the show. He explained that he felt there was a void in the industry when it comes to artists’ telling their stories.
His focus for Off The Top was to give fans an opportunity to get up, close and personal in a different manner rather than just connecting with them on social media. A similar idea behind Rap City that existed in an age before social media really took hold of communication. His style of interviews focused on candid and deep conversations. The performances were a bonus for fans.
“There’s definitely a nostalgic feel to it, but it’s not just for nostalgia. That’s not why we’re doing this. We’re doing it because it’s something we were missing and we thought it was an opportunity to bring something special,” he said at that time.
His appeal as a host has remained unchanged, and there was a long, star-studded cast waiting to be interviewed on Off The Top. Some of them included NLE Choppa, Latto, G Herbo, Lil Tjay, Soulja Boy, Young Dolph, and Yung Bleu, to name a few. The other host of the show, Rapsody, maintained that the platform was for fans to connect with artists and it didn’t matter how hot they were or their lyrical skill level at the time.
She shared that she was excited to be a part of the show because it would give artists an opportunity to show their talent in a relaxed setting.
“They might make vibe music, but if they wanna come in and do some bars, they can do that, too,” Rapsody told HipHopDX. “I think it’s an opportunity to show there’s a lot of talent out here. Everybody’s talent isn’t always seen in all spaces, so it’s just another place for artists to come and show a different side of what they can bring to the microphone,” she said.
Rap City had a lot of appeal to fans because it wasn’t just about the big names in rap. A lot of the interviews were conducted with lesser-known and underground rappers. It originally premiered on the BET network in 1989 and ran until 2008. Rap City was officially cancelled in October 2008 and replaced The Deal which was also eventually cancelled.
Nadine Sutherland says some entertainers in the Jamaican music industry are getting vaxxed in secrecy.
The veteran dancehall deejay called out other artists for their hypocrisy in taking the vaccine in secret but maintaining an anti-vaccination stance in the public domain. On Wednesday night, the “Chatty Chatty” singer did not call any names, but she did say that there were entertainers who were publicly against taking the vaccine but ended up “hide and jook” so that they benefited from the vaccine travel restrictions imposed by countries.
“Yesterday, I realized that some people are hiding and ‘jook’. Hide an jook is a talk on the streets. Some Entertainers are taking the jook secretly, not wanting their fans to know. Hmmmm,” the outspoken deejay noted. “November is going to be interesting, I guess some will be outed. The US dollar beckons!” she said.
Nadine Sutherland was speaking in reference to the travel restrictions imposed by the United States that takes effect in November. It requires that all non-US citizens traveling to the country be fully vaccinated. Those who aren’t cannot enter the country, something that would particularly affect Jamaican entertainers who perform and tour in the U.S.

While some entertainers like Mr. Lexx have publicly supported the vaccines and urge people to get vaxxed so everything can get back to normal, others like Buju Banton and even some popular DJs have been against the government’s efforts and are actively telling people not to get jab.
Meanwhile, Sutherland noted that the hypocrisy appears to be a result of artists being trapped by their own support for the anti-vaccine culture, which fans have bought into.
Responding to a comment on her post, Nadine Sutherland says while some entertainers are anti-vaxxers others feel trapped into supporting the popular anti-vaxx culture in which many of their fans believe.
“My thoughts are some are ‘trapped’. They personally understand how important it is to be vaxxed, but they publicly endorse the anti vax mindset of a lot of people in Jamaica, which includes their fan base. Some are just anti vaxxers,” she said.

In a new post on her Instagra, Nadine Sutherland makes it clear that she is not retracting her statement despite criticism from some quarters of the industry.
“Yesterday, I made a post highlighting a current situation in the Jamaican music industry, about ‘hide and jook’,” Sutherland said. “I’m not retracting, as this is a true phenomenon that is occurring, not only in our Entertainment industry, but generally, in societies, across the world.”
“The reality is, people a ‘hide an jook’. It’s crazy how this blew up, as my intent was to humorously state this fact,” she continues. “Some people got it and laughed, some wanted to understand this occurrence from a deeper level, while others … Wow, unnu deep sah. There is no evidence in that post that had me incrimnating or judging anyone for this choice! None at all! I know, I cannot control the lenses of how people interpret the world, or my words.”
Romeich Major wipes his Instagram account clean off all photos and videos after giving fans a glimpse of his new fully renovated studio.
Romeich Major has shown some serious work ethic over the years, and it looks like all his hard work is paying off. It’s unclear why Shenseea’s manager deleted all his posts, but his IG account is still live. He shared a bible scripture as his display photo.
The manager and CEO of Romeich Entertainment recently showed off his new recording studio, a sign that he’s looking to stamp even more authority in the dancehall genre.
In a video posted to Instagram, he gave fans a glimpse of the sleek and modern-looking studio. The short clip with Ding Dong’s “Flairy” blasting in the background also revealed pristine-looking equipment and untouched furniture. He made the post last night, September 21.
He revealed that the studio was not quite ready but very close to completion. His aim is to have some “fire songs” produced at the location. He also took the time to silence critics who had been saying that he may be getting out of the music business since he announced that he was selling his old studio.
“See a lot of you asking why I am selling out my studio. Learn this, music is my joy, I will always be working musically, just have to UPGRADE,” he said. It looks like he’s planning to make some major moves as he also revealed that this studio is just one of three that he’s hoping to build.
He also used the opportunity to throw out a job opening to his over one million fans as he said he was looking for a full-time engineer. He stressed, though, that “lazy and mix up” workers could stay far from his brand.
The post has already been viewed more than 50,000 times, and artists Chris Martin, Iwaata, and Ding Dong, have already said they’re willing and fired up to start recording at the studio.
Ashanti says she now owns the masters to her music, and she is now planning on re-recording her hit debut album Ashanti, which was originally released in 2003.
Speaking on the Tamron Hall show on Tuesday, Ashanti says the move comes after lengthy legal work by her team, which will allow her to record as an independent artist.
“I have an amazing legal team… The fact that I’ll be able to re-record my first album and put everything together and… put it all together is a great blessing,” she continued. “I am grateful. We are still here, living through the pandemic and these blessings. The fact that is still going on makes me very humble,” she said.
Ashanti was interrupted by Hall, who said, “Wait, that’s the big announcement! I was going to build up to that!… She’s recording the album now as an independent artist!”
Ashanti noted that her love for writing music began when she was a child.
“I used to live in the basement of my house — I wanted to feel like I had my own apartment,” she said. “So I used to be downstairs in my own section, and I would put on the Cartoon Network on mute and I would just write. And it sounds so crazy, but I would be…having cartoons on, playing the beat, and then just writing. It made me feel comfortable. It allowed me to kind of get into my zone.”
Ashanti added that her writing habits did not subside after she was signed to record label Murder, Inc in 2002.
“I would be the only female and there would be guys in there [in studio] rolling dice and doing things that guys do and throwing money on the table and there was a lot of stuff in the air,” she recalled. “And I would be in the corner … just writing in my pad.”
Ashanti recounted the growth of her career from the time she first signed with Jive Records, which hosted talents like Backstreet Boys, ‘N’ Sync, and Britney Spears.
“I first signed to a record label when I was 14 years old,” she said. “Then see how things have changed so far. It is very important to have a conceptual understanding of what to sign,” she said in reference to the contracts that caused her masters to be owned by the label.
Ashanti’s young career success was recently highlighted at the Verzuz battle between Fat Joe and Ja Rule, where she appeared to perform several of their hit collaborations, including “What’s Luv?” and “Always On Time.”
Meanwhile, Ashanti has not given a date for release for her re-recorded debut album and whether there will be any tweaks or changes. The album, which is self-titled after her – ‘Ashanti’, was released on April 2, 2002, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and sweeping the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts with first-week sales of 503,000 units. At that time, Ashanti noted her first victory, becoming the first debut female artist to have the biggest first-week sales.
That album eventually sold more than 6 million copies worldwide, cementing Ashanti’s place in hip hop and R&B and making her a favorite collaborator in the early 2000s.
21 Savage discusses 6ix9ine popping up at his concert earlier this year.
DJ Akademik‘s podcast, Off The Record, is producing some unique insight into hip hop world. The latest rapper to appear, 21 Savage, highlighted some hot topics while being interviewed on the show, like 6ix9ine‘s appearance at his concert.
He also addressed a number of issues like his loyalty to Drake, why he declined a feature on Kanye West‘s DONDA album, and his hometown thinking that Future is a better artist than Drake. Those were just a few issues that he chose to address during the very entertaining episode.
Repping his Atlanta home, 21 Savage called for a unique Verzuz battle that would feature Atlanta’s best talent against every other city in the world. He described Atlanta as an “untouchable” music city, and in truth, his suggestion would make for some magical entertainment.
21 Savage also addressed Akademik’s beef with Meek Mill and used his own encounter to explain his take on the matter. He said he had no idea that 6ix9ine was spotted at one of his club performances in Miami a few months ago. He added that if he and his manager knew about it they probably would have just laughed it off and walked away.
In August, the two had a heated confrontation while being interviewed by Wack 100 on Clubhouse. At one point, Savage said, “Not really ’cause of the industry that we in, I say, like, I wouldn’t really say that. But I say I ain’t finna agree with what no na say about no other na like how you said that you agree with him that I was s’posed to run up on him in the club. First of all, on my kids, I did not see that n***a in the club.”
It looks like DJ Akademiks’ new podcast will be revealing a lot more about the industry, including the various feuds in existence at this time. Akademiks must feel comforted, considering last week Rich The Kid walked out during an interview.
You can check out the podcast below to here what else 21 Savage said.
Capella Grey announced that Chris Brown and Popcaan will be hopping on the remix for “Gyalis.”
Bronx rapper Capella Grey released his breakout hit “Gyalis” at the top of the year to widespread acclaim. Now with the track continuing to heat up the charts and airwaves a month after the visuals were released, Grey says it’s time to double down with a remix.
The original track is only 1-minute and 45-seconds long, but it certainly leaves fans wanting more. While the rapper starts off with actual bars, he then transitions into what he calls a “Caribbean vibe,” where he sings in Jamaican patois and other regional lingo. Considering the style of the track, it’s only right that the New York rapper taps a dancehall artist for the remix.
Capella Grey took to Twitter to let fans know that the “Gyalis” remix will feature OVO-signed artist Popcaan and Chris Brown. The announcement left fans eager for the drop that is set for this Friday. “AINT EVEN DO THE MATH. GYALIS NOW. 94.6+ MILLION STREAMS,” the rapper tweeted. “GOLD – now as a Producer, writer, mix engineer, artist and young label exec, YO CHILL. THANKS SO MUCH YA. WE JUST GETTING STARTED! OFFICIAL REMIX FRIDAY VIBE RESPONSIBLY.”
AINT EVEN DO THE MATH?. GYALIS NOW. 94.6+ MILLION STREAMS. ? GOLD – now as a Producer, writer, mix engineer, artist and young label exec, YO CHILL. THANKS SO MUCH YA. WE JUST GETTING STARTED! OFFICIAL REMIX FRIDAY ? VIBE RESPONSIBLY
Chris Brown has dabbled in the dancehall genre before using samples like “Murder She Wrote” in his hit collab “Post To Be” with Jhené Aiko and Omarion in 2015, and when he joined dancehall star Konshens for the remix of “Bruk Off Yuh Back” in 2017.
Fans believe the R&B singer will be a great fit for the remix considering his history and the undeniable flavor that he brings to the track. “Gyalis” remix marks these artists’ first time working with each other, and it’s not only a major collaboration for Popcaan but also Capella Grey.
In an August interview with Billboard, Grey hinted at the remix and told the publication that there is a lot more music in store. “The industry has been embracing me,” he said. “Big celebrities and legends have been recording with me — there are mad remixes on the way. It’s looking like the year of ‘Gyalis.’ There’s more music on the way. We just getting started.”
NBA YoungBoy is going head to head with Drake for the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 next week.
Ever since the release of Drake‘s highly anticipated sixth studio album Certified Lover Boy in early September, the rapper has dominated US Billboard charts. Remaining steadfast in the coveted top spot on the Billboard 200, CLB is about to have its toughest competition week, yet the next time, the chart is updated. YoungBoy Never Broke Again released his album Sincerely, Kentrell, and it’s in the running to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Drake’s Certified Lover Boy previously dethroned Kanye West’s No. 1 album Donda in its second week on the chart and has maintained its debut spot since. According to data sources, CLB is projected to sell 132K copies in its upcoming fourth week. Meanwhile, NBA YoungBoy‘s Sincerely, Kentrell is on track to move 131K units in its opening week.
The minuscule disparity in units sold makes the No. 1 slot in the impending frame either rapper’s throne for the taking. Sincerely, Kentrell was released on September 24, devoid of any features, which is a surprising move for any artist considering the current landscape of the music industry. If anything, it does make the rapper’s feat that more impressive, considering he is competing without the help of collaborators.
Contrastingly, Drake’s Certified Lover Boy features a host of guest stars, including Giveon, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Future, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Young Thug, Lil Durk, and more. All 21 tracks from the album debuted in the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100, nine of which were top 10 hits. Drake became only the second male artist in history to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and Billboard 100 chart simultaneously.
NBA YoungBoy has had an excellent track record himself when it comes to album premieres on the Billboard chart. The Baton Rouge rapper had three No. 1 albums in less than a year between 2019 and 2020. Known as the “King of YouTube,” YoungBoy has a dedicated legion of fans that have been instrumental in his success thanks to their allegiance.
With both Drake and NBA YoungBoy having a rich history of No. 1 albums in their discography, it’s fitting that they are contenders for the next No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. Who do you think will come out on top?
Cardi B surprised press and fans this week when she showed up at the “Thierry Mugler, Couturissime” exhibit in Paris on Tuesday, September 28th.
Just three weeks postpartum after the birth of her second child, Cardi B slayed fashion week in a red-sequined couture dress complete with long gloves, feathers, and a cape. The piece is from Mugler’s 1995 collection and complemented Bardi’s curves beautifully.
Cardi, who chose to rock platinum blonde hair to add some additional old Hollywood glamour to the look, posted a few pictures of herself in the gown on social media, captioning the post, “MUGLER MAMI.”
A night out on the town wouldn’t be complete without a wardrobe change, and Cardi B didn’t disappoint when she chose a glamourous black piece from Mugler’s 1997 collection. Paparazzi and fans bombarded the rapper as she arrived at the event and entered the party alongside the French designer and supermodel Irina Shayk.
Cardi has been a fan of Mugler’s for a long time, rapping about him on Normani’s “Wild Side” and wearing a custom Mugler gown to the Grammys in 2019. The Grammy piece was inspired by “The Birth of Venus” and was on display at the event this week, where Cardi paused to take pictures alongside the gown she made famous.
Cardi and her husband Offset welcomed their second child together, a baby boy, on September 4th. The postpartum period can be a mental and physical struggle for many mothers, especially in the first few weeks after giving birth. To say that the Bronx rapper is killing it is an understatement, but she likely has a great deal of support and resources that not every mother can afford. While she and Offset have had many up and downs in their highly publicized relationship, the couple appears to be stronger than ever and enjoying their time as a family.
Boosie Badazz says he made $1 million in 24 hours of releasing his movie despite being plagued by bootleggers.
Continuing his tumultuous relationship with social media, rapper Boosie Badazz recently let followers know that his profile was removed from Instagram once again. This time he claims because he asked Drake to promote his new documentary, My Struggle. Despite this setback, Boosie also announced that the film has already made him a million dollars.
Speaking with VladTV, the controversial artist explained that he began working on the project while behind bars and later admitted that he rounded up on his original estimate, clarifying that the movie made about $940k on its first day. This number is not bad at all, considering Boosie quoted the cost of writing, filming, and producing the movie at less than $250k.
Boosie Badazz goes on to explain that he called in a few favors from friends and associates in Baton Rouge and was able to film at several locations for free. He added that he chose not to release the production through any major company so that he could maintain ownership and land more money in his pocket from the project.
The Baton Rouge rapper doesn’t plan on stopping there. He announced that fans should expect a comedy film from him this coming Christmas and that he is working on creating his own streaming platform modeled after Netflix.
The trailer for My Struggle features some big names in hip hop, including YFN Lucci, Mo3, and Quando Rondo. In his Vlad interview, Boosie argued that he shouldn’t have to pay a production company or a streaming service to distribute his work because he has a loyal fanbase, and he has a point.
Lil Boosie has been known to say and do some outlandish things without losing much support and even manages to gain followers who show up to see the drama ensue. Despite his inability to keep an active social media account, Boosie continues to maintain his relevance by consistently grinding and creating content that people want to see.
Boosie Badazz is claiming that his Instagram account has been suspended because he reached out to OVO boss Drake for help to promote his new movie. This isn’t his first ban from the social media site.
Back in August, Boosie Badazz’s IG account was suspended after he was seen slapping a man in the music video for his DaBaby collaboration “Period.” Now he believes that he’s been targeted again because he appealed to Drake for help to promote his new biopic, My Struggle. He’s been putting in the work all over social media trying to push the film, but it hasn’t been going so well.
Following his call for help, Lil Boosie’s already alternate account was suspended, and it looks like he may have to create a new one if he wants to access Instagram. The problem seems to be recurring because he keeps violating the app’s guidelines.
“MY IG WAS TAKEN FOR NOTHNG AGAIN,” he said on Twitter.
“THEY MUST HAVE FOUND OUT I HAVE A FILM THAT IM PROMOTING. PLEASE CONTINUE TO BUY MY FILM DESPITE THIS MOVE TO STOP THE SUCESS OF MY STRUGGLE. YALL ALL I GOT AGAINST THESE POWERFUL PEOPLE. BUY IT TWICE TO BOOST MY FIRST WEEK NUMBERS THANKS,” he continued.
MY IG WAS TAKEN FOR NOTHNG AGAIN. THEY MUST HAVE FOUND OUT I HAVE A FILM THAT IM PROMOTING .PLEASE CONTINUE TO BUY MY FILM DESPITE THIS MOVE TO STOP THE SUCESS OF MY STRUGGLE.YALL ALL I GOT AGAINST THESE POWERFUL PEOPLE .BUY IT TWICE TO BOOST MY FIRST WEEK NUMBERS THANKS ??
The official premiere for the movie was held last week, and at least one artist, Lil Duval, called out celebrities for their lack of support. This is another reason that he may have reached out to Drake.
“Ay Drake, I need you to tell Canada f*** with my biopic,” he said in an Instagram video posted yesterday, September 27. “Go fck with my film. Go on tell the 6 go fck with my film. [I] know you got power. Help me out, n-gga,” he added.
Drake pretty much ignored Diddy’s warning about Richard Mille watches and gifted his pal and frequent collaborator, Future, a super rare timepiece.
Drake seems to be becoming quite the Lover Boy after the successes of his recently released album, Certified Lover Boy. The album is currently still topping the Billboard 200 chart and showing no signs of slowing down.
In lieu of his current successes, Drake recently gifted Future a well-coveted Richard Mille watch. The artiste then took to Instagram to flaunt his new jewelry on September 27th, with the caption, “Appreciate it @champagnepapi Demon time 1 of 1 joint.”
Future has been a frequent collaborator in many of Drake’s musical projects, and Certified Lover Boy is no exception with his addition on ‘N 2 Deep’ and ‘Way 2 Sexy’. Fans are not surprised that Drake has given the rapper such an expensive gift, especially after he collaborated with Future on the song, ‘Way 2 Sexy,’ placed #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, but it does raise a few issues.
Diddy took to Instagram a few weeks ago to warn about the cost of Richard Mille watches, which normally run from $200k to $3 million. He spoke out against purchasing Richard Millie timepieces, instead advising that their money should be saved and used to purchase real estate. The hip-hop mogul also called the watches ugly.
“It’s not hot. I have like two or three. I never pull ’em out… they ugly. I don’t even wanna hate. I don’t even know Richard Mille. But, f**k, I’m on some Black shit. Black man, save your money and go buy a house.” argued Diddy in his video.
After Future’s proud video, the fact that this warning was not heeded may come as a slap to Diddy and his followers, but many of his fellow musicians and wealthy celebrities are siding with Richard Mille on this one. It even appears that Drake has followed Jay-Z’s lead in reaffirming their position with the brand and boldly displaying their watches. On a day out in New York City, Jay Z wore his watch soon after Diddy’s rant had been posted.
Many celebrities still proudly tote the brand in their daily fashion, and despite the well-meaning message from the rapper, it seems that this trend is here to stay.
Rick Ross revealed how much he made per month as he reached a child support settlement with the mother of three of his children.
The rapper’s child support case concluded with him agreeing to pay his ex-girlfriend Briana Singleton, also called Briana Camille, $11,000 per month in child support for their three children. The ex-couple share three children together, Berkley, 4, Billion, 3, and Bless, who just turned a year old. Ross also has two additional children from a relationship before Rick Ross.
According to TMZ, which reported on the case, the agreement was signed off with the judge satisfied with Rick Ross’ commitment to pay monthly child support payments. The two previously made headlines last year when Singleton insisted that Ross produce a negative Covid-19 test before he can see her kids.
The Maybach Music Group Founder will also have to pay health insurance for his children as well as helping with extracurricular activities expenses if the amount goes over $7,560, and will also need to pay additional annual payments of up to $3,000 per child plus the attorney’s fees for Singleton which amounts to $25,000.
How much Rick Ross earns per month?
The rapper’s monthly income was also revealed in the docs, showing that he earns $585,000 a month from his various business ventures while his baby mother brings in $142 a month.
Ross’ income comes from his music career and royalties as well as income from MMG, and his dozen franchise Wingstop restaurants as well as income he earned recently from a new book, The Perfect Day to Boss Up, which is a New York Times’ weekly bestseller.

On the other hand, Singleton is the owner of sportswear brand Fit by B.Camille and is also a reality star on the “Getting Back to Bri’ series aired on Fox Soul, where the show is centered on her life being a mom and being the girlfriend of a celebrity.
Meanwhile, the couple’s paternity suit was filed in May 2020 by Singleton in Fayette County, Georgia, requesting a hearing for Ross to take a COVID-19 test if he wanted to visit his kids.
Singleton’s documents said that the rapper hasn’t seen his children for six months; after he did reach out, she was concerned about his marijuana use and not quarantining during the pandemic.
Singleton, who has spoken about the relationship drama with Ross, said in her documents that Ross wasn’t too cooperative in asserting paternity through DNA test, but despite the issues they had, he was financially supportive, which included him purchasing a Mercedes SUV for her use and the children’s, and also putting money into her bank account to take care of the children.
At that time, Singleton was pregnant with their last child, who was born in August 2020.
On the other hand, Rick Ross, for the most part, has spoken about taking his job as a father seriously and talking to his children about his own mistakes in life.
“I have those conversations and we’ve been having those,” he said in a January 2020 interview with Steve Harvey. “You know, they’ve always been under my wing and always find a way to find something positive, regardless of the darkest of my situations. When they woke up and heard about gunshots open on my car before, whatever it was, I had that conversation with them just so they’ll feel better and understand me. We have a real great communication so I’m always honest with them.”
Baby Cham dropped some knowledge for young dancehall artists on how to improve their stagecraft and got a huge cosign from another legend, Bounty Killer.
To truly compete in the dancehall space, you must have the entire package, and that includes stage presence. According to Baby Cham, it’s not something to be taken lightly. The legendary artist recently took to Instagram to share some advice with new and upcoming dancehall deejays. He shared how diligent he was in preparing for a show.
He made the post alongside a clip of a highly energetic performance.
“TO ALL NEW ARTISTE. You Have To Train Like An Elite Level Athlete In Order To Deliver Your Songs At The Highest Level. I Would Run The Sands At Bull Bay (9 Mile) Every Morning To Get Myself Ready For Tours And Concerts!! TAKE MY ADVICE… HARD WORK THE KEY TO SUCCESS!!” he shared.
Among those showing support for the message was Bounty Killer, who is also known for his strong stage performances. He said, “MAN WICKED,” while dancehall selector Foota Hype added, “Dem better know that.”
In recent years, both new and veteran artists have come under fire from fans for their lack of stage presence when performing. One artist that recently drew the ire of fans is Alkaline. Earlier in the year, in July, following his performance at BRT Weekend in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Bounty Killer seemingly threw shade at the artist.
Following the performance, Bounty Killer took to Instagram to praise Dexta Daps performance, saying, “Took it all way di man use one night tek a whole weekend nobody else did deh pon di show real super star with practical and tactical stage skills,” which many fans felt was in reference to a lackluster performance from Alkaline.
One fan who commented on Cham’s post urged the veteran deejay to share more posts to help new artists understand what is required to become a top-tier deejay in dancehall.
That fan said, “Bredda.. it would be great drop more posts like this. The newcomers have to hear more about the vet’s preparation or creative process. I don’t think we have enough of this going on in Dancehall/Reggae… just like how Kobe chronicled his ‘Mamba mentality’ or even a Lebron.. his worth ethic & preparation is unworldly. Great caption.”
Dancehall deejay Skillibeng has announced the official release date for his upcoming album Crocodile Teeth.
On Monday (September 27, 2021), the artist shared the news on his Instagram account, which included the release date set for October 15th, 2021, as well as the tracklist that had a few major collabs with some of Dancehall’s biggest names.
The 11-track album will see several major music collaborations for Skillibeng, which is no doubt going to benefit his young career as he tries to move away from being an underground artist to the mainstream music scene.
The first song on the list is “Crocodile Teeth,” another remix with American rapper and Hip Hop star Bobby Shmurda, “Sweeten your pain” featuring Davianah and Lil Zack, “Piana,” “Beethoven,” “Thee Most Power,” “Wheelie,” “Dream,” “EastSyde King,” and “15Teen” all by Skillibeng, as well as “Richer” featuring Queen of the Dancehall Spice, “Rocket Launcher” featuring Popcaan and Rich the Kid, and “Stefflon Don” featuring British based dancehall artist Stefflon Don.
Skillibeng also debuted what appears to be official artwork for the song- – crocodile with jaws wide open showcasing its ‘bullet’ fangs and blooding pooling at the edges of the photo.
Crocodile Teeth Album Cover
The artist noted that the album was ready for pre-order on Sept 27 at midnight and will be available on all major streaming platforms.
Skillibeng shot to fame with the drop of his “Crocodile Teeth” song, which was later remixed by Nicki Minaj. The song secured for Skillibeng his first Billboard Hot 100 song and entered the charts at No. 100 after a week-long debut in May. So far, the remix has amassed more than 5 million views on Spotify and 5.5 million views on YouTube, while the original song has 27 million views on YouTube.
Meanwhile, the producers of the album are Johnny Wonder and Adde Instrumentals—who are also the producers of the 2020 smash hit song.
Wonder, who has been in the dancehall industry for over three decades, previously spoke about making more music with Skillibeng. The veteran producer made it clear that he is never in a rush to put out new music and likes to take his time to perfect his songs before putting them out.
Meanwhile, “Crocodile Teeth” remains one of the most remixed modern dancehall songs, with many jumping on the riddim and flow, such as R&B singer Tory Lanez and UK rapper Youngs Teflon.
Shenseea also recently freestyled on the song’s riddim during a Hot 97 FM visit earning herself a lot of praise. Still, she came under heavy criticism by the producer, Johnny Wonder, and fans of Skillibeng after she took credit for the flow of the song without mentioning Skillibeng or the producers who created the song and riddim.
Meanwhile, Skillibeng has been actively working to promote his career and has delivered an impressive amount of work in the short span of his career. So far, fans have enjoyed his 35-track mixtape The Prodigy and his latest project, the 21-track The Prodigy: Ladies Only Edition released in May 2021.
The Prodigy delivered several hits, including some hot collaborations with artists like Tommy Lee Sparta, Street Gena, F.S, Quenga, 1 Sparkes, and Popcaan. The Ladies Only Edition included the controversial “Sloppy,” single and “Chappa Gyal” featuring Honey Milan and “Real Boss” with rappers Rich The Kid and Jay Critch.
Meanwhile, fans were elated at the impending music release, with some already declaring that “the album sell off,” while others tagged Billboard and asked about getting a plaque for the album.
Meanwhile, others asked about a Vybz Kartel collab, mainly since Skillibeng often spoke about his admiration for the Worl’Boss.

Rihanna’s event promoting her latest Savage x Fenty collection was an evening to remember for more than one reason.
The “Diamonds” singer met Nigerian up and coming star, Tems, for the first time at the event, which was held last night (September 22), and they kicked off what could possibly flourish into a beautiful friendship.
An excited Rihanna could be heard screaming “Oh my God” in a viral video on social media after meeting and intimately embracing Tems. In no time, the fashion icon was engaged in conversation with an equally excited Tems, almost as if they were old friends.
The video displaying the instant connection between the two artistes was shared by Tems’ manager, and it was captioned, “A moment to remember: @temsbaby x @badgalriri link up.”
The 26- year old Lagos native is currently on tour in the United States. After rising to fame in 2019 upon the release of her hit single “Try Me,” the singer continued to make strides in the industry. She earned her first entrance on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this year through her feature on Wizkid‘s “Essence” and landed another feature on Drake’s recently released, highly successful album, “Certified Lover Boy.”
Tems | cred: @temsbaby IG
In addition, the “Damages” singer released her EP, “If Orange Was A Place,” last week, which has received a wave of positive feedback and is on its way to becoming a hit.
Tems has, so far, made a mark on the music industry with her incredible talent, so much so that one would hardly question why Rihanna would be excited to meet her.
Tems is expected to be in the United States until October, when her tour ends, and fans are hoping that the two stars will keep the link alive, especially since Rihanna has disclosed that she is working and experimenting on new music.
While a Tems and Rihanna collaboration would definitely be a tremendous development in music, the Barbadian singer has been busy in her fashion world. Her most recent Savage x Fenty Show Vol. 3 will be available on Prime Video on Friday, September 24.
Drake’s Drink Champs appearance is finally happening and we will hear more about his feud with the late DMX.
Drake‘s recent success has cemented his place in hip-hop history. His latest album, Certified Lover Boy, is currently enjoying its third week at the top of the charts and the OVO Boss is certainly enjoying being at the top of the game.
Fans will be delighted to get an even more in-depth insight into the artist’s mind as he will be sitting down later this week with N.O.R.E on Drink Champs. N.O.R.E shared the news on Instagram in a most candid way as he made a drunken effort to recite the lyrics to “Girls Want Girls.” He also revealed that the episode should be released tomorrow, September 27. “C’mon Drake, tomorrow — Monday, Drake is on Drink Champs,” he declared.
Drake’s dominance has been clearly evidenced with CLB. He’s already broken multiple Billboard records, and his success continues going from strength to strength. He definitely seems to have the Midas touch as the lead single from CLB “Way 2 Sexy” ft. Future and Young Thug also debuted at the top of the charts a week after the album’s release.
Drake to address DMX beef
The “Pipe Down” rapper has been enjoying the moment, as well as he’s been spotted with the real Wolf Of Wall Street and eating dinner with DJ Khaled and Fat Joe. Of the many topics that fans anticipate will be tackled on the show is Drake and DMX’s short-lived feud.
That’s because shortly after DMX’s passing, N.O.R.E. shared a photo of himself and Drake, explaining that he was instrumental in the pair working out their differences. That truce led to Drake being able to sample “What These B*tches Want” for the Views track “U Wit Me?”
What issues do you hope will get addressed during the interview?
Machine Gun Kelly was embarrassingly booed off stage by fans at Louder Than Life festival.
It seems that Machine Gun Kelly is still paying for his comments aimed at Slipknot’s Corey Taylor. Fans clearly are still not happy with him, which they expressed during his recent performance at the Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, Kentucky.
Several fans could be seen flipping him off while others joined in a chorus of boos during his set. The beef seemingly started when MGK, at the Riot concert earlier in September, said, “Hey, you wanna know what I’m really happy that I’m not doing? Being 50 years old wearing a fing weird mask on a fing stage talking sh*t.”
His comments weren’t unprompted as many first believed because earlier in the year, it seems Taylor had his own shade for MGK when he said that the former rapper now turned rocker had ?“failed in one genre and decided to go rock.” They seem to have some history as TMZ also reported that Taylor did a verse for MGK’s “Tickets to my Downfall,” but it never made the album because, according to MGK, “it was f***ing terrible.”
Taylor refuted this on September 20, on Twitter, when he posted, “I don’t like people airing private sh*t like a child,” he tweeted on September 20.
He added: “So this is all I’ll say: I didn’t do the track because I don’t like when people try to ‘write’ for me. I said NO to THEM. So without further ado… #receipts This is all I’m going to say about it.”
I don’t like people airing private shit like a child. So this is all I’ll say: I didn’t do the track because I don’t like when people try to ‘write’ for me. I said NO to THEM. So without further ado…. #receipts This is all I’m going to say about it. pic.twitter.com/pkhweg1Ptn
He further shared screenshots which included a tweet that showed that Kelly and his team had notes for Taylor’s initial verse and that when Taylor realized that they wouldn’t see eye to eye on the project, he decided to opt-out.
According to TMZ, the hatred could also have come about because of MGK’s recent pivot into the rock genre. They opined that some fans were upset by the change and others simply thought his career as a rapper was in doubt anyway.
Tekashi 6ix9ine’s girlfriend Jade is outraged after Cardi B allegedly retweets allusions calling her a liar.
You may recall that back in 2019, Cardi B was indicted for assault following some strip club workers accusing her of allegedly sending goons to attack them the previous year. The allegations followed one of the dancers being accused of sleeping with the rapper’s husband, Offset. While the case is still ongoing, there seem to have been some developments that have piqued the interest of fans on social media. The woman and alleged victim is Tekashi 6ix9ine’s girlfriend Jade, who is now calling out Cardi for seemingly addressing the case online in a series of retweets. Ironically, this followed Jade herself answering a question about the very case on social media.
During a recent Instagram Live with DJ Akademiks, Tekashi 6ix9ine and his girlfriend Jade were comfortably snuggled up in bed when they were cunningly questioned about the case.
Akademiks asked if Jade was the girl who was beefing with Cardi B, to which she responded, “Unfortunately.” The social media personality then claimed to have heard that “Cardi’s people did a number on” Jade, but she and 6ix9ine chuckled and unanimously disagreed, stating, “Nah. Never that.”
After the live session started making the rounds, online Cardi fired off a series of retweets from fans rehashing what had essentially just happened. “It’s really just laughable how y’all are STILL trying to spread that lie of ‘cardi sending men to beat up women’ when the woman Cardi allegedly ‘harrassed’ admitted It was a lie. lol,” one fan tweeted, and Cardi reposted. Another fan shared a screenshot of what it means to “do a number on someone” and quoted Jade’s denial, which Cardi also retweeted.
Taking to her Instagram Story to respond, Jade sent a strong message to Cardi, the apparent object of her ire. “A LIE??” Jade wrote with the crying, laughing, and thinking emojis. “DONT PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH !” she continued. “Everybody knows the truth including your husband . LET’S NOT TAKE IT THERE. DONT RETWEET ANYTHING ABOUT ME OR A CASE THATS FAR FROM OVER !”
After she was accused of sending people to a strip club to attack Jade and her sister, Cardi B was later charged with felony assault and appeared in a New York Court in 2019. The rapper pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Lil Wayne and Birdman shocked fans when they were seen kissing in a photo in 2006. However, it’s all love and nothing romantic, according to the Cash Money honcho. Birdman explains that he regards his relationship with Lil Wayne as a father/son one.
The photo went viral in 2006 and has been the peak of many interviews in which other members of Cash Money were asked about the image and what led to it. Birdman is, however, speaking for the first time as he told the “Big Facts” podcast that at the time, he felt it might be the last time he saw Wayne, who he saw as a son.
“I always looked at Wayne as my son and I always looked at it like, ’cause I was in the streets, and I thought this might be the last time he ever see me,” the Cash Money legend said about Weezy.
Birdman added that he stepped in the role of a father figure for Tunechi because he needed a father.
“I was his father when he didn’t have a father since he was 9 years old,” Birdman added about Wayne, who attempted suicide at age 12 and who often spoke of how troubling his early life was.
“And I love him like my own, and I’d give my life for him and I’d take a life for him,” Birdman says.
Meanwhile, over the years, the relationship between Lil Wayne and Birdman was rocky and further deteriorated due to problems with Cash Money over unpaid money resulting in Lil Wayne filing a lawsuit. However, the pair has maintained a strong connection.
Birdman also spoke of who could be a proper rival for Lil Wayne in a Verzuz battle- Wayne himself as he is unrivaled in the industry.
“Himself, Wayne versus Tunechi. He got too much s**t going on, he don’t need to touch that. Come on, brother — this is Tunechi,” he says.
Birdman also touted Lil Wayne’s massive success on the Billboard success and him surpassing Elvis Presley on the Hot 100 chart. Commercial success like those helped cemented Wayne as one of the greatest rappers of all-time.
Birdman had previously defended the kiss, which many fans thought was gay, while others suggested that Birdman was a sexual predator on the young artists in his label. He, however, dismissed the fan’s reactions in 2009.
Other rappers who worked with Cash Money, including Young Buck, had spoken about how Birdman, also known as Baby, was with other rappers. He noted, though, that there was nothing suspect beyond the affection shared between the men.
Rihanna says her upcoming music will not be what fans expect since she’s experimenting much like she does with fashion.
It’s been five years since Rihanna‘s fans have been clamoring for a new album. She’s teased and promised them that it would be soon, over that time as well. The sultry songstress is more known for fashion these days, but that doesn’t mean that she’s not still dedicated to her music. She’s revealed that whenever she does drop new music, it might be completely different from what fans have come to know and expect.
Rihanna made the comments recently as she was gearing up to tape the Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 3 events. The production is expected to air this Friday, September 24, on Amazon Prime Video. During the little time that she took to open up about her music, she explained that she was taking her time to experiment with different sounds to incorporate into her new style of music.
According to the multi-Grammy winner, “You’re not going to expect what you hear. Just put that in your mind.” Her last foray into music was the hugely successful ANTI, which has been certified double-platinum. The album debuted in 2016 and spawned a number of hits like “Work,” and “Love on the Brain.”
She’s already revealed to fans that she is actively working on music and last year mentioned that she’d been hosting numerous writing camps. This clearly shows that she’s working at reinventing herself in the music business. She also said that fans might as well forget what they think they know about her music as “whatever you know of Rihanna is not going to be what you hear.”
It will be very interesting to see what she eventually comes up with since she already seemed to have had a winning formula. After all, she does have nine Grammys in several different categories, including R&B, dance, and rap. Still, she seems pumped about this metamorphosis period of her career.
“I’m really experimenting. Music is like fashion. You should be able to play. I should be able to wear whatever I want. I treat music the same way. So I’m having fun and it’s going to be completely different,” she added.
Of course, she still remains tight-lipped about when she will actually drop the album, and there’s been no official word of a release date. Among the rumors circulating about her next album, which might be called R9, is that it is expected to have heavy influences from dancehall and reggae. She explained to AP news last year that she wanted to make music that was fun.
“How do I want to interpret that, reimagine that? Because it’s been so structured before. You do pop, you do this genre, you do that, you do radio, you do who’s following you and your fans. But now, it’s just like – what makes me happy? I just want to have fun with music,” she said at the time.
For now, she’s looking forward to the third straight year of the Savage X Fenty Show. The show is used to show off her fashion line’s newest styles. To help her do this, she usually recruits an all-star lineup of models, actors, and performers.
This year it will be recorded in downtown Los Angeles and will include some top-line acts such as Nas, Ricky Martin, Jasmine Sullivan, Daddy Yankee, and Normani, to name a few. There will also be some guest appearances by other celebrities like Adriana Lima, Gigi Hadid, and Erykah Badu.
Rihanna also revealed how personal this year’s collection was to her as she acknowledges that we all age at some point.
“All the bras that make my boobies sit up, because, you know, I’m 33 now. They’re not where they used to be. I’m just looking forward to actually seeing my pieces on the talent, seeing it on so many different body shapes and silhouettes, because that’s what brings the pieces to life,” she said.
Whether it’s fashion or music, her loyal Navy always stands ready to rally behind her endeavors.
The rape victim in the 1995 Kenneth Petty rape case has broken her silence as she speaks about the ordeal publicly for the first time.
In an interview on The Real daytime talk show, the woman Jennifer Hough sat down for the first time to speak about the incident to a large audience and made some damning allegations against Petty and his now wife, Nicki Minaj.
Hough is presently suing the pair for harassment as she claims that Minaj and her husband approached her to change her story so that he can get off on his current charges for failing to register as a sex offender in California.
Kenneth Petty moved from New York to California in 2019 to be with his wife, who resides in Calabasas, but he did not register and was only picked up on the radar after he was stopped for a routine traffic stop that later led to the charges being filed against him. He pleaded guilty to the charges and is now facing up to 10 years imprisonment for failing to register.
However, the efforts by Minaj and Petty are stirring up a pile of legal troubles for the pair as Hough alleges harassment and intimidation from Minaj and her family to herself and even her own family.
According to her, Nicki Minaj reached out to her once in 2020, asking for her help.
“…In march 2020, she called me and said that she got word that I was willing to help them out in a situation, I didn’t understand what she was referring to. She offered to fly me and my family to LA…I turned it down. And I told her woman to woman this really happened. I hadn’t spoken to her since,” Hough says.
Hough claims that Minaj and Petty were harassing her by sending people constantly to negotiate what her cost would be to settle the story.

When asked in what way she was being harassed, she said, “with them sending people to negotiate numbers as far as money is concerned with family members and Nicki is the one who personally reached out to me you know regards to helping her, helping them in this situation.”
Hough also alleged that she was threatened that the Pettys would put a hit on her for refusing to take $20,000.
“I kept saying no to every offer, to every suggestion. The last incident was when one of their associates put 20,000 on my lap and I still kept saying no. the last message I received was that I should have taken the money because now they were going to put that money on my head because I kept saying no to every offer.”
Hough says that she is afraid, but she is standing up for herself.
“I’m tired of being afraid. I feel like that the action that were taken in regards to this situation has put me in a different type of fear at my age now and it was wrong and I don’t want to be afraid anymore, and the only way to not be afraid is to speak up.”
In the interview, Hough says that she first met Kenneth on September 16, 1994, while going to school. She recalled the day that Petty raped her, which has left her traumatized.
“I was on my way to school, high school. I seen him at a bus stop and I didn’t think anything of it other than there goes Kenny across the street,” she said. “He asked me where I was going and I said I was going to school. I asked him where he was going. He said he was going to school, too.”
Petty, who was 16 at the time, had denied the first-degree rape charges but pleaded guilty to a lesser count- attempted rape and was sentenced to almost five years in jail. Hough says that Petty is far from innocent.
“He pushes me up the steps. Now I’m crying because now I’m inside,” Hough said, adding that she was pleading with him to tell her what he wanted. “He pushed me down on the bed. We wrestled for my clothes because all I could was hold my pants as tight as I can.”
She became emotional as she recounted the incident.
“I just held on to my pants and he held my arms down and I squeezed the sides of my stomach so hard,” she said, noting that she wished she had fought harder because she became tired, which is when Petty committed the act.
“After he got off the top of me, he stood in the mirror and he beat his chest,” she said. “And he said ‘I’m the man. I’m the man.’”
Hough said she tried to get away from Kenneth Petty, and after she reached her school, she reported the incident to an adult who called the police. Petty was arrested at the school.
“Then they took me to the hospital,” she said.
Hough became emotional as she said that she still lives with the trauma of what happened and that she often blamed herself for what happened. She noted that the rape affected her terribly as she moved away from her home and family. She said it has caused her to live in fear.
“I had to leave my family, I had to leave my home, I had to go away…hiding within myself, living and surviving through insecurities, using them to protect myself, thinking if I don’t look a certain way I won’t attract a certain attention.”
Both Kenneth Petty and Nicki Minaj have been silent on the threats. Still, social media users have surmised that Minaj’s recent rants on social media about the vaccine were all a distraction from the bad publicity coming from Hough’s lawsuit being filed last week.
Hough, who has previously said that Minaj offered her up to $500,000 to recant her story in an effort to get the current case dropped, told The Real hosts that she wants her lawsuit to send a message that the Pettys were wrong.
“They were wrong, you can’t do this to people. You shouldn’t do this to people. He did something a long time ago and he had consequences he was supposed to stick with, what he did to my family wasn’t ok. It wasn’t right, and it doesn’t matter how much money you have, what your status is, you cant intimidate people to make things go better for you and that’s what they did. I want my daughters to do as they grow as they come into contact with friends, family, strangers, they will know they have a voice, use it.”
Minaj and Petty got married in 2019 and now have a young baby boy.
Meanwhile, many online questioned the credibility of Hough, who some alleged changed her story as she previously spoke to blogger Tasha K and said she never directly spoke to either Kenneth or Nicki.
On Wednesday, Nicki Minaj has been trending as her large fan base defended her.
Others, however, shared that they believed the victim.
One person shared a clip of Nicki defending Petty as she insinuated that Hough was a white woman who cried foul on Petty. Hough is actually a black woman.
“All because he didn’t have $7,000 to get hisself bailed out cause when you in the hood you don’t have that kind of money, neither does your family. And when the alleged accuser wrote a letter to the judge asking him to recant the statements, she was told she was go to jail for 90 days if she recanted the statement. But white is right,” Minaj declared.
Nicki Minaj also insinuated that Petty was just a victim of a false accusation by a white woman, which led to some of her fans having sympathy and believing Petty’s version of what happened as false accusations of that nature were not too uncommon.
Minaj has been quiet and has not responded to the allegations.
The Game is not amused by rumors circulating that he’s a scammer. The rumors first started earlier this year when he was accused of scamming thousands of dollars from several artists. An accusation he heavily denied.
Some of the rappers and artists claim that The Game was among a clique of artists who have been charging them a fee to promote their music but not following through on their word. Those first set of allegations started in March when an Instagram account with the name, the foo community, published a post leveling the accusations.
“He doesn’t upload on his verified SoundCloud account, he uploads on a separate account with only 266 followers,” the post stated. “In addition, he doesn’t market it on Instagram or Facebook, nor makes an appearance on any on the songs,” it further alleged.
At that time, he responded by saying that he was only trying to uplift artists with “dope opportunities.”
The Game is once again been called upon to defend himself as recently a woman claimed that he charged her $1,000 to have her song included on one of his mixtapes. She also claimed that he was promoting the tape at the time and that she confronted him when he didn’t come through. According to her, he laughed in her face.
She further alleges that the mixtape was not posted to Game’s official page but to an alternate SoundCloud account with barely any followers, which sounds eerily similar to the earlier accusations.
“The Hate It or Love It” rapper has vehemently denied any insinuation that he is scamming young and unknown artists. On a Neighborhood Talk’s post, he said, “Please stop wit the fake news.”
He added, “I ain’t never scammed nobody in my life out of nothing !!!! If you want sumn to post, holla at me n I’ll do sumn to help y’all weird ass blog out.”
The catchy intro follows a well-shaped melody and makes way for Skilli’s rich, raw vocals to seep into the song naturally. The lyrics are thought-provoking, which made fans immediately piece together that the single could be a clap back at Alkaline’s new single, released hours apart on the same day.
After Alkaline dropped “Sell Off,” Vendetta fans claimed that the song was ridiculing the “style and flow” of Skillibeng as the “Extra Lesson” deejay is known for his own signature flow. Still, this song followed a nursery rhyme style made popular by Skilli, using unconventional punchlines, which sounded almost like he was talking.
On the other hand, over a trippy beat, Skillibeng showcases his lyrical prowess while taking aim at his opps. The whole song is directed as a threat to an individual who keeps bothering him as he gets ready for a mission to settle things.

The positive reactions towards “Mission” show just how ready for battle his fans are. While neither artist has said anything regarding the speculations, fans have continued to draw their conclusions that both artists are taking aim at each other in their tracks.
“Dem nuh know waa dem a do, wa dem a wait pon/only we a original and nuh di fake one/welcome di new me really and truly/tell di judge dem tell di jury,” Alkaline deejays in “Sell Off.”
“Yuh naa done run off yuh mouth a wa yuh need me rise mi ting now an guh run/tell reverse say mi naa go run/gwan chat till unu fall a ground /from dem see mi wul an gun off, no mask coward yuh taught yuh bad yuh naa go lass yuh drop gone in one second/yuh not special/good day,” Skillibeng fired back in “Mission.”
The lyrical tension between the two dancehall deejays keeps growing bigger, and some supporters are excited as long as they keep the feud lyrical.
In reacting to Skillibeng’s “Mission,” one fan commented, “Skilli: mek mi get a mission, Alka : dat sell off.”
“Skilli be talking and sound like he rapping the dude hard nf,” another added with accompanying 100% sign and a fire emoji. “RATHID SKILLI COMEBACK WITH THIS ONE,” one E-Syde fan wrote.
Released by Eastsyde Records, “Mission” is currently #11 Trending in Jamaica for music on YouTube, with the song already gaining over 130,000 views and 17,000 likes after 12 hours.

Dancehall it girl Shenseea has been garnering much attention lately with her numerous collaborations, involvement in huge projects, and her debut album coming soon. The “Run Run” singer continues to make a name for herself internationally as she takes on every new opportunity with her usual boldness and dancehall flair.

We will soon learn Lee’ Scratch’ Perry’s cause of death, per his widow Mireille.
It’s been less than a month that the world lost producing legend Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry. A short while after his death, his widow, Mireille Perry, took to social media to insinuate that she suspected foul play and that she would look deeper into the matter. Now she’s confirmed that all matters concerning his death are in the hands of his lawyers.
She confirmed the news to the Jamaica Star and revealed a little insight into what is going to happen and why she needed clarification on those matters. Firstly, she said that Lee “Scratch” Perry passed away on Saturday, August 28, and not Sunday, August 29, which has been widely reported. She also said that he died while on his way to the Noel Holmes Hospital in Lucea, Hanover, and not after he was admitted.
Mireille added that she could not talk about the cause of his death at this time. She maintains, however, that the 85-year-old entertainer was not sick before his death. She remains tight-lipped about that information on the advice of her lawyers.

“Please also understand, everything in Jamaica takes longer and I will come with more information as soon as it becomes possible,” she added.
Mireille has definitely been affected by the passing of the eclectic and legendary producer. Just about a week after his passing, she said, “You were more than a husband, you were my best friend. We share a bond that lives beyond death. I will cherish you forever. I will try my best to keep your spirit alive.”
Just after his passing, she took to Instagram to share her feelings about Perry’s sudden death.
“This catastrophic loss is totally unexpected and unbelievable! Lee Scratch Perry was not sick! I promise to get justice for the mishandling that took place! I promise I will not stop until we get justice from the people responsible for his death !!!” she said at that time. It seems she intends to get answers and expose anyone who may have been negligent in his death.

The Grown-ish actress and singer who has been one half of the sister-singing duo Chlo?e x Halle for years, recently released her freshman solo track “Have Mercy,” the lead single off her upcoming debut solo album. Last Sunday, Chlo?e Bailey performed the song for the first time at the MTV Video Music Awards where she not only rocked the crowd but left viewers speechless. After her successful solo debut, the singer took to Instagram Live to have a chat with fans and she had a list of things to address.
While speaking fondly of her new blonde look, Chlo?e interrupted herself to respond to a comment about a rumor that started recently claiming she and Future are dating and it’s “serious.” The “Have Mercy” singer was rather pleasant in her denial telling fans that she actually likes Future’s music but she is completely oblivious to where the rumor came from. “He’s a wonderful fella, love his music, I’ve never spoken to him a day in my life,” Chlo?e said. So not only are they not dating but they’ve never actually met.
Elsewhere during the live session, Chlo?e also addressed another peculiar accusation floating around about her, this time alleging that she has joined the illuminati. The singer was still as graceful as one could be while quelling such an upsetting rumor. “One moment you all say that I talk about God too much and the next you say I’m selling my soul. Which is it, my loves?” she questioned sarcastically. “I love God so much and I love music, and I just have a lot of passion. That’s it.”
The singer laughed off the allegation seemingly flattered that fans think her solo single is doing well enough to inspire this outlandish theory to come about before finally flat out denying it. “I didn’t sell my soul, no,” she added as she continued giggling.
Chlo?e Bailey was one of the hot topics on people’s tongues after the VMAs on Sunday and after such a show-stopping inaugural performance to launch her solo career, she may very well be the one to talk about for a long time. The singer is completing her debut album which she told Billboard late last month that she is narrowing down from about 50 songs. Chlo?e season is almost here.
Sha’Carri Richardson has been getting advice since her last performance, but while she is taking the time to reply to everyone who has something to say about the World’s Fastest Man Alive, Usain thinks Richardson should instead focus on her game and come back stronger.
Usain Bolt on Saturday said that the American sprinter should stop the smack talking and instead focus on her training because she has potential.
Bolt is an eight-time Olympic gold medal holder, so he, more than anyone else, knows the dedication required to succeed in the highly competitive world of athletics. On the other hand, Sha’Carri Richardson is a newbie who became famous after she was banned for a month after testing positive for cannabis at what was to be her first Olympic visit.
In an interview with the New York Post, Bolt explained why the American’s smack-talking and failure to live up to her own hype won’t work for her.
“I would tell Sha’Carri to train harder and to be focused and not say too much … If you talk that big talk you have to back it up. So just train hard and focus on that and try to come back do it and then talk about it,” Bolt said.
The 21-year old has been dragged on social media after returning from her ban but put to shame after she came in the last position despite her statements prior to the race where she noted in interviews that she was not “star struck” and in a Tik Tok video noting “I took some time off to rest and now it’s game time, b-tches. You have no idea!”

Usain Bolt explained why Jamaicans, including the Jamaican sprinters, were not impressed by the Americans.
“Jamaicans were vexed because she was talking a lot of s–t before the actual race, it is just one of those things,” he said. “Jamaicans don’t like when people talk s–t about us because we are a very proud people. So if you talk about us we are gonna want you to back it up. It definitely gave those women the extra push [to win.]”
Meanwhile, Bolt noted that he could assist Richardson to mentally prepare her for her next race.
“I would recommend my full album. I would give her the whole playlist to Sha’Carri. For me she’s been through a lot you know, she’s lost her mom. So one of the songs on the album is called ‘R.I.P. My G’ it’s about one of my friends and I lost a couple years ago. So it’s little bit of everything on this album it is for everybody.”
The sprint legend also had some advice for Richardson, who disclosed that her testing for weed was due to her using weed to cope with her mother’s death.
“Do not use weed … People ask me about drugs and I will say rules are rules. Soon as we get into sports they tell you, your agents and managers tell you this is illegal, you can’t do this. You have to follow the rules just like in life, you can’t do certain things.”
Richardson, however, doesn’t seem to take Bolt’s mentioning her too kindly as she shared a sarcastic message on Sunday morning throwing subliminal shots at Bolt.
“Good ‘humbling’ Morning to y’all,” she said in an IG story in response to a screenshot that reads: “everybody want to give advice in the media but none of them actually take the time to speak to her outside the media. So I feel her. Stop speaking on me when you don’t even speak to me.”
Sha’Carri further added- “I could not have said it better myself.”
“I can definitely say that our Real fam is growing, and it’s been really hard to keep all of these secrets for you guys because we’ve had so much to reveal here at the show, including the fact that I am pregnant!” the co-host said during the broadcast.
She added, “Jeezy and I have been kind of saving this and hiding this for five months. So we’re relieved to finally share the news.”
She also shared that the pregnancy comes after a miscarriage as she had found out she was pregnant in February- just a month before her wedding to Jeezy, but then they lost the baby through a miscarriage. She said that’s why she decided that she felt the desire to be a mother for the first time.
“I wondered if I was being punished. I wondered if I’d jinxed myself or cursed myself. My entire life, I never wanted children. When I say never, I’m talking a hard-stop never,” she shared, adding, “Falling in love with Jeezy made me see life differently for myself. Our love is honest, pure and safe … something I hadn’t felt as a child.”
Jeannie Mai and Jeezy met when he was on her talk show The Real as a guest but only asked her out years later.
The celebrity couple is known for their respective careers but also their activism in their community against racism.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness says that Vybz Kartel may have a key role in the government’s continued efforts to vaccinate the majority of Jamaica’s population by 2022.
So far, just about seven percent (7%) of the island’s people are fully vaccinated. While the government has been trying to vaccinate persons, there has been a high number of people against taking the shot, which is said to help persons from either getting the virus or having minimal reactions.
A recent study showed that anti-vaccination rhetoric and conspiracies were rife among the population, with the majority of people against mandatory COVID-19 vaccination.
However, the Prime Minister believes that Vybz Kartel, who is one of the most influential entertainers on the island, might be able to assist in getting more persons on board.
“In a national emergency such as a pandemic, we in the Government of Jamaica would enlist the support of all well-thinking citizens in encouraging persons to take the vaccine,” Holness said.
The incarcerated Vybz Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, recently took his first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine and is said to be doing well after taking the shot.
“There is no doubt that Vybz Kartel is an influencer, with many fans throughout the country. … If he can influence others to take it that would be good. I would be willing to work with the penal system to explore how it could be done,” Tufton said recently.
However, the prime minister noted that all hands should be on deck to assist the country with coping with the pandemic.
“In terms of how the government structures its programmes, the existence of a pandemic, of an emergency, does not always justify the dispensing of rules and regulations and laws and policies and principles. So, we make a general call for every citizen of Jamaica to support and use their influence,” Holness said.
He added that the government has tried to get the support of influential groups in the pro-vaccination campaign but that not everyone has responded.
The Prime Minister added that the help of everyone is needed if the island is to successfully control the effects of the pandemic in Jamaica.
“We have a national programme and that programme has to follow all the laws and guidelines and procedures. So that will prescribe how we engage. So my short answer to you is, we encourage everyone from all walks of life, wherever you are, whatever your status, whatever your station, if you can support and add your voice, please go ahead and do so,” said Holness.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister said that for anyone to help, there was no need to sign on with a state-supported program, but instead, they can use their platforms to share organic support.
It seems that Vybz Kartel might be trying to show his support to the government and his efforts at rehabilitation even as his appeal at the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council is pending.
