Porches share “Okay,” detail new album All Day Gentle Hold !
Aaron Maine’s new album is out October 8 via Domino.

A new album from Aaron Maine’s indie-pop project Porches is on the way. All Day Gentle Hold ! is out October 8 via Domino, and serves as the follow-up to 2020’s Ricky Music. The tracklist will contain the lovely “I Miss That,” released last year, and today’s album announcement comes with a brand new song called “Okay.” Like “I Miss That,” “Okay” shines with the gloss of ’90s adult contemporary radio, but there’s something delightfully bent about its particular luster. Hear the track in the music video above as you watch Maine cavort in different costumes.

“I recorded this album in my room between October 2019 and April 2021,” Maine said of the project in a press release. “The world was flipped and I wanted to make something injected with as much love, urgency, and lust for humanity as I possibly could.”

The eighth episode of The FADER Uncovered, a new podcast series in which host Mark Ronson talks with the world’s most impactful musicians, is coming on Monday, June 28.

This week Mark is joined by the genre-spanning superstar Santigold. Ronson and Santi, friends for over two decades, talk about her genre-spanning 2008 debut album and its unforgettable singles “Creator” and “L.E.S. Artistes.” Santi goes back in time to discuss her first band, the punk group Stiffed, and her days as a regular performer at CBGBs, as well as her transition into becoming an unlikely popstar in the mid-2000s. Later on Santi fills Mark in on upcoming album Spirituals, her first new music since 2016.
