Erykah Badu Reacts To Hitler Comment Backlash “The Trying To Spin My Sh..”

Erykah Badu has responded to some really heavy backlash she has been getting from her fans over a comment about Hitler.

The R&B legend did a candid interview with Vulture where she opened up about a number of topics ranging from music to celebrities who are accused of sexual misconducts and the politics of things. She really opened up during the interview, but one excerpt from the talk made headlines and is causing her to get some harassment on social media.

During the interview with Vulture, Erykah Badu addresses some recent criticism she received on social media when some folks called her anti-Semitic. “I’m not an anti-Semitic person,” the neo-soul singer said. “I don’t even know what anti-Semitic was before I was called it. I’m a humanist. I see good in everybody. I saw something good in Hitler.”

Twitter had a field day yesterday about that statement and Badu is now urging everyone to reach her full interview and blaming the media for trying to put a spin on what she said. “When the media try’s to spin ya sh.. Aye , There’s this link in my bio. @vulture mag conversation with badu. By David Marchese. Im open for dialogue here,” she wrote on Instagram.

Here are some of the reactions on Twitter about Erykah Bady statement on Hitler.

Erykah Badu is what happens when people call you woke and enlightened and you start to believe it even though YOU YOURSELF DONT READ. lmao

— elexus jionde (@Lexual__) January 24, 2018

Erykah Badu-“I see some good in a lot of people”

Me reading the interview: “Yes, I can see her point”

Erykah-“Even Hitler, He was a beautiful painter”

Jewish Interviewer-“No he wasn’t!”

Erykah-“Ok he wasnt”

Me thinking: “Then why would you use him as an example?” pic.twitter.com/lWfC9VI5V5

— Rashad (@BRashadBeal) January 24, 2018

Maybe those enraged about @fatbellybella Erykah Badu saying she could see “good in Hitler“ have a glimpse into how black people feel when America celebrates, erects monuments, names buildings, and celebrates holidays in honor of those who owned, raped and murdered our ancestors!

— Bishop Talbert Swan (@TalbertSwan) January 24, 2018

A lot of the points that Erykah Badu made in her vulture interview is going completely over people’s heads due to this need to be angry all the time.

Erykah Badu Clarifies Reports Of Stalker At Her Home

Erykah Badu has stepped forward to clarify reports of a stalker invading her home.

Moments after cops pulled her over in Dallas on New Year’s Eve, reports surfaced claiming that Erykah Badu had a running with a stalker at her home. The good news is, there wasn’t actually a stalker at her home and the bad news is a fan learned the hard way to never just popped up at a celebrity home or else you will find yourself behind bars even if its innocent.

“Peace and love Dallas, Texas,” she said in a video posted on Instagram. “In response to a story about a stalker breaking in, there was no breaking so stop it… story overblown. The only thing that happened was there was a kid on Twitter who follows me, has the hots for me, came over, wanted to look at me and do some music with me. He made a bad decision and then decided that this might not be the best thing and left.”

Erykah Badu says that her neighbors called the cops and reported that a strange kid was walking around the neighborhood asking if she lives there. She said the cops showed up and took the kid to the bus station and sent him home. Long story short, there wasn’t a stalker breaking in her home situation, just an overzealous fan made a bad decision to show up at her home.

Erykah Badu Gets Stopped By Cops Just So They Can Say Hi

Erykah Badu got pulled over by cops so that they can say hi.

In weird news to kick off the new year, Erykah Badu got stopped by cops in Dallas on New Year’s Eve and it turns out that it was for nothing. She posted a video on Instagram laughing about the whole thing but some fans were not so much amused given the current relationship between cops and people of color. Fortunately for her, this stop was merely for the cops to say hi to a celebrity.

“Okay it’s New Year’s Eve and I just got pulled over and why are you pulling me over,” she said while turning her camera towards the cop who said, “Because I wanted to say hi.” It appears that Erykah Badu also had a young child in the car with her at the time. “I would’ve pulled you over…made u step out the car, take pictures with me and call my mama so she could say hi too,” one fan wrote.

Some fans weren’t so amused about it. “Lies they know they were trying to catch you slippen but nah your never slippin,” another fan said.

WTF BABYLON !! HAPPY NEW YEAERZZZZ!

Young Thug – Take Care Lyrics

YOUNG THUG
Take Care Lyrics

Better day, better day
See better days, ayy
Yeah!

A hood girl with a missin’ tail light
You got me stopping at the green light, light yeah
I’ll set you good, I’m off a bean right
And I know you want a savage to give you a ring right (so good!)
Sexin’ on drugs, oh yeah, yeah
Leave a little money on the counter, woah woah
You remind me of Erykah Badu, you’re on go
Thinkin’ ’bout masturbating to your nudes, yeah, yeah
Take care
Take care, all right
Yeah she fire right by
Yeah I’m gon’ sleep with you every night
Yeah yeah

Supposed to win
I’m gon’ pose for you
We supposed to lose
Yeah ‘posed to

Maison Margiellas, they ain’t come with no strings, and the jeans Rockafeller
Wraith umbrella for the hoes in the club when I throw my cheddar
She got Chanel mailbag, I’ma gon’ letter, I’ma gon’ let her
Every day I say free Act, lifetime rebel, do it for the fellas
I don’t want that bitch, annoys me
Eat on my dick and she rode me
I f**k her hard like she owin’ me
Put in this dick, now she done with me
My prices cheaper than Dollar Tree
I mastered math like white collars, B
Open your mouth like you yawning
Double cup feature, it’s Barney
I’m with the dogs and we barking
I’ma take off like a Martian
f**k her and leave her my marking
Bust on that ho, I’m just marking
Look at these niggas, they markers
Ready for war like a Spartan
You can’t block me like I’m Marshawn
My bro got a sound like a marker

A hood girl with a missin’ tail light
You got me stopping at the green light, light yeah
I’ll set you good, I’m off a bean right
And I know you want a savage to give you a ring right
Take care
Sexin’ on drugs, oh yeah, yeah
Leave a little money on camera, woah woah
You remind me of Erykah Badu, you’re on go

Drake – Days In The East

[Verse 1]
Why you keep askin’ me about her?
She’s not here right now, she’s not here right now
Why am I the one you wanna get into it with right now
I’ve got a lot to say, and that’s the last thing a nigga wanna hear right now
Spendin’ all my days on the Eastside, oh
Forgettin’ who I was on the other side, oh
Young nigga switchin’ up the program right now
Tryna put the power in my own hands right now
I’m about to ride through the old hood right now
Got too much pride for my own good right now
Waitin’ on you to give in and hit me up
So I could fall through like old times and hit it up

[Hook]
I’m terrible at inviting myself, call me over
Those nights when you need someone else call me over
You can be the one to take control call me over
When I get there, you already know, call me

[Verse 2]
Why you keep askin’ me about her?
Couple other things I’d rather wanna do than talk ’bout that right now
Told you about giving him chances and chances and chances
He’s not holding you down, he’s holding you back right now
Spendin’ all my days on the Eastside, oh
Forgettin’ who I was on the other side, oh
Young nigga switchin’ up the program right now
Tryna put the power in my own hands right now
Love it when your ass speak the truth to me
Tryna wake up and have you with me
Waitin’ on you to give in and hit me up
So I could fall through like old times and hit it up

[Hook]
I’m terrible at inviting myself, call me over
Those nights when you need someone else call me over
You can be the one to take control call me over
When I get there, you already know, call me

[Breakdown]
(I threw my hands in the air said show me something)
Remember one night I went to Erykah Badu house, she made tea for me
We talked about love and what life could really be for me
She said, "when that shit is real, you just know"
And I was thinking bout you, you already know
Yeah, the other night Chubbs showed up at my house
He had weed for me, that’s my nigga till we gon’
Keeps his ear to the streets for me
Said the city stress him out on the low
I said, "I feel you, nigga, I already know"
Yeah, already
Girl’s talkin’ bout you, gotta leave already
Damn, my lil’ nephew turned four already
Gave you a little help, you need more already
Damn, you need more already?
Before you said your mine, I was yours already
22, had the Bentley 4 door already
Even as a boy I was the boy already
So you know that mean the pussy galore already
Mention other girls, you get insecure already
That was in the past, I’ve matured already
Fuck them hoes, you got the award already
You go to Chanel and get rewards already
Know I do this shit for 3rd Ward already
Know I do this shit for H-Town already
Already, already
Back up in this thing, it’s a go
Had a couple niggas out of pocket, now they know
Ain’t the first time cause I’ve lost you before
Had to get it back, had to get it back
Had to pull it back because I know I’m on the road
Had to take you back because I know you’re down to roll
If you can get it from me, you can have it, now you know
All your friends asking where you stand with the boy
FaceTime said you got plans for the boy
Studying your body, that’s exams for the boy
Take a flight here, pop a xan for the boy
Waking up in Amsterdam with the boy
Long flight home, another xan for your boy
You would probably fly out to Japan for the boy
You would probably kill another man for the boy
You would probably…
You would probably lie ’bout it on the stand for your boy
Put the Bible to your right hand for the boy
That’s why you I ain’t never gotta worry ’bout the boy
You know you got…
You know you got that really good insurance on the boy
You just gotta pack a bag and hurry to the boy
