Announced today in Deadline, the as-yet-untitled project will be scripted by Jaboukie Young-White, a comedian who has written for Big Mouth and American Vandal and appears as a correspondent on The Daily Show. This Friday, Polo G will share his highly anticipated new project Hall Of Fame. It’ll be a closely watched release in the world of hip-hop after his single “RAPSTAR” hit No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100, the biggest achievement yet in a string of crossover successes for the Chicago rapper. His talent for hitting the pop charts on his own terms is part of what makes Polo so compelling to watch, and it’s a quality he shared with the late DMX. That makes the choice to freestyle over X’s “Ruff Ryders Anthem” for the L.A. Leakers an inspired one — Polo sounds totally at home over Swizz Beatz’s iconic instrumental even as he spits in his own fierce pocket. Watch above.

“Miss The Rage” was a hit before it was officially released thanks to a snippet that quickly went viral, and the official release of the Trippie Redd-helmed, Playboi Carti-featuring song saw it debut at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. For the music video, the rappers seem to have dumped a fair amount of the budget into gasoline, judging from how much of the stuff they spread around to start all the glorious explosions in the junkyard alley setting. It’s fun to watch, and Carti looks very sick in his balaclava. Check it out above.

As pretty much everyone expected, J. Cole‘s new album The Off-Season debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The project sold 228,000 units and managed to set a new record for Cole as well, with four of the album’s songs debuting in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 — Juice WRLD, Drake, and Lil Wayne are the only other artists in history who have had similar first-week success with individual songs. All this is to say that the time is perfect for Cole to drop a music video for a song about how highly regarded he is and how few will ever match his pen, and that’s just the theme of “a p p l y i n g . p r e s s u r e.” The music video is directed by Scott Lazer, and stars Cole in various urban environments: on an apartment building’s roof, on the subway, hanging on the street with Dave East, etc. Check it out above.

Skillibeng Earns 1st Billboard Hot 100 Song With Nicki Minaj “Crocodile Teeth (Remix)”

Skillibeng gets his first Billboard Hot 100 song.

The dancehall deejay earned himself a Billboard Hot 100 hit with his Nicki Minaj assisted “Crocodile Teeth (Remix)“. The song was released on May 13 as part of Nicki’s “Beam Me Up Scotty” mixtape, now out on all streaming services.

The song debuted at number 100 on Monday, May 24, making this Skillibeng’s first US Billboard entry. “Crocodile Teeth (Remix)” has since cracked 2.5 million streams on YouTube and the same for Spotify, while getting 1.3 million streams on Apple Music. The original single already has over 20 million views on YouTube.

Ironically, Skillibeng was mercilessly dragged on Twitter some weeks ago, following his announcement about the collab with Nicki Minaj. The “Mr. Universe” deejay posted and soon after deleted a cover art displaying the collaboration with his October 2020 track, which had been hot in the streets for months before. This led fans to believe the artiste was lying and seeking clout, using Nicki Minaj’s name.

After the big drop on Nicki’s mixtape, the artiste was again trending as social media users who previously accused him were put to shame.

Skillibeng has perhaps been enjoying the significant boost and bolstered International reach since the song’s release. The remix trended at number 1on YouTube for three consecutive days after its release.

The gun-play track is currently the deejay’s biggest hit since getting his break in 2019 with “Brik Pan Brick.”

The artiste has been on the rise since, with a wide fan base, even wider now given the latest developments. Fans had projected that the “Coke” deejay would undoubtedly be making strides in the industry locally and internationally, and as such, he should take his music seriously.

As the news broke the internet on Monday, May 24, social media users were quick to commend the artiste, with hopes that he will use the opportunities from this new development wisely.

“Skilli get a big buss internationally, a just him fi know how him ago capitalize affa dis,” one person commented. Another added, “Skillibeng is the next dancehall superstar. I feel he has the potential to be bigger than any other artist right now.”

The remix with Nicki Minaj came just a few weeks after Skillibeng made links with international rappers Rich The Kid and Jay Critch and collaborated on “Real Boss.”

BTS share new song/video “Butter”
The K-pop band’s next mega-hit-in-the-making has arrived.

By Jordan Darville

May 21, 2021

Last August, K-pop giants BTS shared their first English-language single, a catchy number called “Dynamite.” That song debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making BTS the first Korean group to top the chart, and received a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. It’s always a tall order following up one of the biggest songs of the year, and BTS are certainly swinging for the fences on “Butter,” their second English-language single. It’s certainly a sibling of “Dynamite” with its clear disco influences, however, “Butter” has an extra injection of synth-pop that results in a stronger overall single. As always, BTS have shared a colorful and thoroughly enjoyable music video for their new song, and you can watch it above.

Bobby Shmurda Showcases His New Dance & Gets Roasted By Fans

Fans of rapper Bobby Shmurda are voicing their displeasure after the rapper opted to start a new dance craze instead of releasing new music.

The Brooklyn rapper who was locked up for the last 6 years on charges of illegal possession of a firearm was finally released this past February after a Donald Trump pardon.

Many were looking forward to his return to music after his song “Hot N*gga” peaked at number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was labeled as the song of the summer in 2014. Sadly, fans have deciphered that Bobby Shmurda is more interested in making another popular dance similar to the Shmoney Dance.

Bobby Shmurda has earned the wrath of his fanbase, which has now taken to social media to ridicule the “Hot N**ga” splitter. This can be observed in the comments section of popular media personality DJ Akademik’s Instagram post. “I’m good on this Bobby happy you home tho,” one fan commented, followed by a laughing face emoji. “He learned this dance in jail,” another fan added, who then followed up the comment with a skull emoji. It is clear that fans are not impressed with Bobby’s current interests and are not fond of the new dance moves Bobby is showing off online.

Additionally, fans are unhappy about his new interracial relationship. “Bobby Shmurda came home with a white woman on his arm,” tweeted one fan. The fan also attached a short video to the tweet of a black man visibly upset, stating he was “embarrassed for his people.” “You tell me Bobby Shmurda finally out and the first thing he looks for is a white woman?!?” Another tweeted.

Drake & Chris Brown Sent Fans Into A Fenzy After Linking Up In LA

Fans are calling for Drake and Chris Brown to release a joint project following the two being spotted together at a lounge in L.A.

Though Chris Brown and Drake have had a rocky journey to reuniting as friends, fans have been holding out hope the whole time for them to release a collaborative album. Following the success of their highly anticipated Billboard hit “No Guidance,” their fanbase has had a renewed interest in them producing more music together. It appears the rap titan and R&B mogul have remained compadres and have stayed linking up since they worked together in 2019.

Drake took to Instagram on Thursday (April 22) to share a photo of himself and Chris Brown at The Highlight Room in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The rapper simply captioned the photo reel with a palm tree emoji. It was enough to get fans to call for a Drizzy and C-Breezy collab album which both artists have hinted in the past could be a possibility.

The two last collaborated on Drake’s Dark Lane Demo Tapes track “Not You Too” in 2020, and it seems they have a ton of other songs in the vault. In November of last year, when Fat Joe asked Chris Brown if there was any chance that we would get a joint album from him and Drake, the singer explained that they have the tracks. “Yea. We got some songs. We definitely got some songs,” Breezy said at the time.

Fans have been chiming in ever since Drake shared the photo last night, and it seems they are ready to hear some of those songs. “My OVO sources are telling me Drake and Chris brown got a collab project coming this year when outside opens,” one speculated. “I’m actually pretty open to Drake and Chris Brown collab album,” a fan wrote. “Have y’all not heard No Guidance?” another fan wrote.

“No Guidance” peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2019. The track has been certified platinum by the RIAA, and the official music video has garnered over 335 million views on YouTube. We can only imagine what a whole album would do.

It’s the Chicago rapper’s first-ever chart-topping single.

By Jordan Darville

Polo G‘s “RAPSTAR” video, released at the beginning of the month, depicted a rapper enjoying the fruits of his labor. The clip showed Polo giving away fancy cars to his friends like pieces of gum, going on shopping sprees, and enjoying private flights. The Polo G in the “Rapstar” video was on top of the world, and so is the real Polo: the song has debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, marking the Chicago rapper’s first No.1 hit.

The song’s success isn’t coming out of nowhere for Polo G. Prior to the release of “RAPSTAR,” Polo G secured five platinum and two gold RIAA certifications for songs on his 2020 project The Goat. Other notable appearances on the Billboard Hot 100 came with the songs “Hate The Other Side” featuring Juice WRLD and the TikTok-viral “Pop Out” with Lil Tjay.

After a week of controversy, meme-making, and some of the most sublime shitposting the internet has ever seen, “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”Lil Nas X’s Call Me By Your Name-referencing new single, which arrived last week with an ultra-horny, ultra-biblical video — has hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The track unseats Justin Bieber’s “Peaches”, which itself was No. 1 for one week, displacing Cardi B’s “Up”. Lil Nas X responded to the news on Twitter with a sweet, rare display of earnestness: “y’all told a 19 year old who had just escaped the lowest point of his life that he would never have a hit again. you told him to stop while he’s ahead. he could’ve gave up. but 4 multi platinum songs and 2 #1’s later, he’s still here. thank you to my team and my fans! ily”

“Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” was released last week alongside a music video and a commemorative pair of “Satan shoes”. All three things were immediately met with criticism from religious conservatives, with Governor Kristi Noem saying the shoes are emblematic of “a fight for the soul of our nation” and Nike attempting to sue MSCHF, the company that customised the shoes. The song is Lil Nas X’s second No. 1, after 2019’s record-breaking “Old Town Road”.

Mystikal Says NBA YoungBoy Is His Favorite Artist Right Now

Mystikal says NBA Youngboy is among his top 3 favorite artists out right now.

Mystikal has had a rough couple of years. He has served six years in prison, was cleared of rape charges, and even found his own sister murdered in their home. While all this turmoil was taking place in his life, he was still able to continue his musical career and keep dropping hit tracks.

He did an interview recently with VladTV, where he did a thorough walk-through of his experiences over the past few years. During the interview, he mentioned Boosie Badazz and Lil Wayne as two of his all-time favorite artists. He also revealed that NBA YoungBoy was now the artiste he considered his favorite along with Lil Baby and DaBaby.

He made mention of NBA YoungBoy’s frequent legal troubles and said it “goes hand in hand.” He then issued a direct message to the young rapper. “YoungBoy, just always remember dude, you can always take refuge and take shelter in your music. That’s what he does. That why when it come out, that’s why we feel his music like that because he wear it on his sleeve.”

NBA Youngboy has faced a slew of legal issues, including being investigated by the federal authorities, and last October, he was even accused of assault. He was arrested at one point while shooting a music video. Mystikal, who is originally from New Orleans, is a rapper, actor, and songwriter. His first album “Mystikal” was released in 1994. He has done six studio albums to date, with his last album, “Tarantula,” released in 2001. In December 2020, he was cleared of rape and kidnapping charges stemming from an October 2016 incident.

He is best known for the track “Shake It Fast,” which peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Drake Praises Bow Wow As His Inspiration After Historic Hot 100 Achievement

Drake says there would be no Drake if it wasn’t for Bow Wow.

Hip hop heads may argue that Canadian rapper Drake has always gotten his flowers whenever he accomplishes something great. On Monday, March 15, a day after The Grammys, there was no denying the 6 God, who added a few other exclusive accolades to his already immaculate list. He is now the only entertainer to have a total of 45 top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100. In addition to that accomplishment, Drake is now the first entertainer to debut three songs in the top 3 spots on Billboard Hot 100 chart after releasing his 3-track EP, Scary Hours 2. He now stands above two other entertainers, Ariane Grande and The Beatles, who have also had three songs in the top spots.

The 6 God is now in celebratory mode, and he decided to show his appreciation to one man who made it all possible, Bow Wow. Addressing Mr. 106 & Park by “Wizzle,” one of his many other aliases, Drake said, “I didn’t know how else to bring in 1,2,3 so I had to link with Wizzle.” He then sang a few lines from Bow Wow’s 2001 track “Thank You,” which featured Jagged Edge and Fundisha. The track was conceptualized as a way for then Lil Bow Wow to thank his fans.

“Congratulations to my n***a man, GOAT,” Bow Wow said.

Drake had a few additional words about Bow Wow as he closed out his evening.

“I had to link with Wizzle, everybody wants to have drinks and everybody wants to celebrate and turn up but I just had to see Wizzle in person,” said the “Miss Me” rapper to a post tagged to Bow Wow. “If it wasn’t for you there wouldn’t be no me and that’s why I’m a rapper.”

Drake’s evening was complete with drinks, number-shaped balloons, and a black cake decorated with the historic chart listing.

Bow Wow, now aged 33, has taken his share of public Ls in recent years, but the entertainer still boasts a pretty stellar musical history beginning in 1993. His debut album Beware of Dog, which was released in 2000, featured now-classic cuts such as “Bow Wow (That’s My Name)” featuring Snoop Dogg, “Puppy Love”, and “Ghetto Girls.” His early successes in both music and acting helped to inspire the likes of Drake, who apart from having a very successful musical career, also starred in the Canadian TV-show Degrassi.

Drake Celebrates Steph Curry Style Being First Artist To Debut In Top 3 In Hot 100 History

Drake is celebrating his historic achievement on Billboard Hot 100 by channeling Steph Curry.

When it comes to scoring milestones, Drake‘s name is right up there with being the first to achieve many historical feats, but it seems that Drake being the first artist in history to have 50 billion streams on Spotify is just a start to an awesome year ahead as the artist adds another milestone to his belt.

It’s only March, and he hasn’t dropped his much-anticipated album Certified Lover Boy as yet. Still, Drake continues to defy expectations as he becomes the first artist in history to simultaneously debut in all of the Top 3 spots on the prestigious Billboard Hot 100 chart.

According to Chart data, he is also the rapper with the most No. 1 singles in Hot 100 History with eight (8) singles.

The lyrics of his new song “What’s Next” has proven prophetic, as the track debuts at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100. This makes him the first artist to join No. 1, 2, and 3, simultaneously, as the song is joined by “Wants and Need,” featuring Lil Baby at number 2 and at No.3 his song “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” featuring Rick Ross.

The Tracks all come from his recent mixtape Scary Hours 2 released under his own OVO Sound/ Republic Records company. The mixtape is predicted to break streaming records as the “God’s Plan” artist cements himself as one of the greatest rappers of the times.

The new record also now takes Drake into uncharted territory as he now holds 45 top 10 songs on the Hot 100 Chart, moving up his status alongside that of the renowned Beatles and Ariana Grande, who have been the only artists ever to hold the 1, 2, and 3 simultaneous positions.

Meanwhile, “What’s Next” opened to 49 million U.S streams and 19,000 downloads sold in the week ending March 11. It’s also rocking the radio waves with 11.9 million radio airplay audience impressions last week (March 14). On the streaming side, “Wants and Needs” has been streamed 41.5 million times and sold 17,000 copies of the song with 2.1 million airplay. “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” started with 32.1 million streams, 15,000 copies sold, and 869,000 radio airplay so far.

Drake shared a screenshot of his achievement writing in the caption, “SPLASHY.” He also included a photo of his pal Steph Curry celebrating his own wins.

All three of the songs from Drake‘s latest EP Scary Hours 2 have debuted at the top three spots of Billboard Hot 100, as Stereogum points out. It’s the first time in the chart’s history that any artist has accomplished the feat.

“What’s Next,” the EP’s opening track, snagged the top spot, while the subsequent songs “Wants and Needs” featuring Lil Baby and “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” with Rock Ross bowed at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. The chartings also represent the career-high placings of each of the guest artists.

Travis Scott Drops A Fire Verse On Erica Banks’ Hit “Buss It”

The ‘Buss it’ challenge is about to get even more lit with a remix of the original Erica Banks song with rapper Travis Scott.

The remix was released on Thursday with a preview that has the chorus sung by Travis Scott. The song opens with Nelly’s ‘Hot in Here,” followed by Travis rapping about stacking money, spending on luxury items, and even sounds like there will be a new buss it challenge to the “pop it,” “lock it,” “drop it” catchy phrase by the Houston rapper.

The viral #BussItChallenge on TikTok, which later took over Twitter and Instagram, has catapulted Banks into official ‘rapdom.’ She was a struggling artist and relatively unknown before the song took over. Celebrities performing the challenge helped the song spread fast on social media and catapult it up the Hot 100 chart.

The original song was released in 2020 but took only got hype in early 2021. The song has also entered the Billboard Hot 100 Chart at No. 62 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The remix is expected to give the songs a boost for Banks.

Meanwhile, Erica Banks explains that the remix is a Texas connection as she teams up with Scott, who remixed her song without her permission and sent her his final track. At this point, she says she is surprised but doesn’t seem angry at all since she thinks the remix does her song justice.

“It’s so crazy. I got a phone call, and the phone call was like, ‘Yo, I’m about to send you this song. I’m about to play this song for you. Tell me what you think.’ I’m not knowing what I’m about to listen to,” she says.

“So I hear ‘Buss It,’ but I hear [Travis Scott] on it. I’m just wowed. I’m like, ‘What the hell is going on? How did he even get this song?’ That’s how I found out, through a phone call of somebody calling me and telling me.”

Just before the end of September, Travis Scott shared a new single “Franchise” featuring Young Thug and M.I.A. (who was unfairly maligned for her verse, imo). Chart wise, the song’s debut couldn’t have gone better: “Franchise” topped the Billboard Hot 100 in its first week, entering at No. 1, according to a press release from Epic Records.

“Franchise” joins two other Travis Scott songs released in 2020 to debut at No. 1. “Highest In The Room,” and “THE SCOTTS,” his collaboration with Kid Cudi, both debuted on top of the Hot 100 chart in their first week. Today’s news makes Scott the first artist in history to have three songs within a year hit No. 1 on their first week of release. It’s also the first No. 1 ever for M.I.A. after her 2008 song “Paper Planes” peaked at No. 4. Well deserved!

BTS‘s first English language song “Dynamite” has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It’s the group’s first chart-topper and their highest ranking song since “On” peaked at No. 4 this year.

The song debuted in late August against stiff competition. “WAP” by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion premiered at the top of the charts four days later the release of “Dynamite,” with Drake and Lil Durk’s “Laugh Now Cry Later” bowing at No. 2. With “Dynamite” at No. 1, “WAP” and “Laugh Now” both slide down one place to No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.

Last week, Drake released two new songs as part of a collaborative singles package with DJ Khaled. Although a fairly minor release in Drake terms, the songs — “Popstar” and “Greece” — have turned out to be fairly consequential, helping the Canadian pop megastar break the record for most Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hits. With “Popstar” landing at #3 on this week’s Hot 100 and “Greece” at #8, Drake has officially racked up 40 top 10s, narrowly beating out Madonna’s 38, which he previously tied. This is Drake’s second Hot 100 record in recent months; as Stereogum notes, the rapper broke the record for most songs ranked on the Hot 100 ever, with 208 entries.

Last week, Drake released a new Headie One collab, “Only You Freestyle.” The song comes only a few months after May’s Dark Lane Demo Tapes, which featured a collection of leaks, loosies, and leftover album material.

Post Malone “Don’t Call Me A Rapper But Still Listen To My Raps”

Post Malone don’t want to be called a rapper anymore but he still wants you to listen to his raps.

The “Rockstar” rapper got some heat on Twitter this week after making the statement during an interview with GQ. Post Malone spoke about his struggles being a white rapper in the music industry, which might have influenced him to making the statement on not wanting to be labeled a rapper anymore. Nevertheless, he currently has the No. 3 song on Billboard Hot 100.

“I definitely feel like there’s a struggle being a white rapper,” Post Malone said. “But I don’t want to be a rapper. I just want to be a person that makes music. I make music that I like and I think that kicks ass, that I think the people who f**k with me as a person and as an artist will like.”

That statement triggered a backlash on Twitter and some fans told him directly to just quit hip hop all entirely and make another genre of music. Some folks sees it as a double standard where he wants to not be labeled as a rapper but at the same time he puts out a tone of new music that’s hardcore rap. So the main takaway here is that he can’t have it both ways, although some fans can be a bit too critical of artists on social media.

post malone – doesn’t wanna be called a rapper

post malone – raps, raps over typically rap beats, features rappers, uses slang and accents popular in rap music

He could’ve done alternative rock, tanked, & realized he was wack. Instead, he chose rap since white, hip hop audiences have a penchant for going crazy over mediocre, European-American rappers.

A queer Black woman innovated rock n roll in the 1940’s

A Black woman was behind the sugar hill gang who put hip hop on the map in 1979

The Post Malone article doesn’t surprise me. It’s the same erasure of culture that’s been happening since the dawn of modern music. ?????

Watch Rapper 6ix9ine Stage Dived And No One Caught Him

Upcoming rappers should pay attention and take note.

Rapper 6ix9ine, aka Tekashi69, decided that he is a big enough rapper to stage dive and it turns out to be a big mistake. The New York rapper currently has a couple songs bubbling on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and figured its full time his fans treat him with more respect. He decided to prove his point recently at one of his concerts when he ran and dived into the crowd.

Unfortunately for 6ix9ine, his fans don’t think he is big enough to crowd surf so everyone quickly got out of the way leaving the hard concrete for him to surf on. Fortunately for him though, there weren’t any broken bones and it seems none of his fans got hurt in the process or else he could risk some more legal troubles. Tekashi69 already has a serious sexual misconduct case in New York pending where he could face years in prison if found guilty.

6ix9ine recently confirmed that he has a new single in the works with Lil Yachty and he is also working on his upcoming debut album. His new single “Kooda” is also doing well among his young fans.

Gangsta rapper #tekashi69 thought his career was popping enough to dive in the crowd and crowd surf… unfortunately.. the crowd disagreed and parted like the Red Sea for him to fall to the floor.

Camila Cabello‘s self-titled debut album is now occupying the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

The singer created history when she becomes the first woman since Meghan Trainor in 2015 to have their debut album top the chart. Her album Camila sold 119,000 copies in the first week of release with 65,000 copies being pure album sales. Roughly 16,000 were track equivalent albums (SEA) and 38,000 were streaming equivalent albums (TEA). The R&B singer thanked her fans on social media on Sunday for supporting the album. “My album is number 1 on Billboard Hot 200 I’m crying on the street,” she tweeted.

The former Fifth Harmony singer was only projected to move around 90,000 copies of the album but she shattered those predictions and thus toppling The Greatest Showman album for the top spot on the most prestigious album chart in the world.

Rapper Tay-K’s Hit “The Race” Now Certified Platinum

Tay-K maybe incarcerated but his music, in this case, “The Race” is still bumping.

The 17-year-old rapper released the song while he was on the run from feds after going on a crime spree. The single “The Race” is now platinum. The single went viral last summer and is showing no signs of slowing down. The track also spawned a number of remixes from rappers like Lil Yachty and Tyga. The song garnered enough buzz to prompt Tay-K’s fans and some fellow rappers to call for his release from prison via the hashtag #FreeTayK.

I should also note that Tay-K is facing some pretty serious charges including murder, kidnapping and armed robbery. Despite his lengthy rap sheet, “The Race” has now surpassed a million units in sales as of January 12th, roughly six months after its release, according to the RIAA. The viral single was recorded and the video was shot while Tay-K was on the run after escaping house arrest. He was eventually captured and placed behind bars and once fans realized his ordeal it further fuels the streaming online. The song peaked at No. 44 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Tay-K is now a platinum-selling rapper which is not bad considering he is just 17 and facing possibly decades in prison. Last year November, rumors surfaced claiming that K signed a lucrative record deal, but a rep for the rapper later dismissed the reports as bogus. Sources say, however, that a deal is currently on the table with conditions that he can beat his murder case. He is expected to go on trial for at least two capital murder charges this year and a few lesser but still serious charges.

If he is freed this year, Tay-K is lining up to be the next breakthrough young rapper. If convicted, he could be sent to prison for decades.

Cardi B Explains Why She Always Posts Videos About Her Achievements

Cardi B says she will not stop making videos about he achievements so get used to it.

The former Love and Hip Hop New York rapper just had perhaps the best year of her life and not only did she worked her way into the elite of music, but she also had to prove that she is not a one-hit wonder. She often posts videos of herself blasting her critics while reminding her fans where she is coming from and what she has achieved for herself.

One fan seems to have enough of her bickering about her achievements and decided to tell her to get over it and, well you don’t have to guess how that ended. “Damn Cardi B needs to shut up we get it congrats on your singles,” the fan wrote. “You’ve made 50 videos telling us where your sh*t is on the Billboard top 100. Why do you need to tell us this sh*t just be happy for yourself.

Cardi B responded with a fiery clap back saying, “Everyday I get discredit. For months people was calling me a one hit wonder and that sh*t used to hurt my heart. So I’m going to always post about my achievements. I’m thanking the people for supporting and the lord in this video. How is that bragging?”

Cardi B is currently having an impressive run on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Just last week she equaled Beyonce record as only the second female artist in history to have four songs in the top ten of the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs Chart. The week prior, she also created Billboard history when she became the second female rapper to have three songs in the Top 10 of the Hot 100 chart. Hill did it in the late 1990s and no other female MC since then until Cardi B. So can you blame her for posting those videos.

Cardi B Responds To Chris Brown ‘s Attempt To Water Down Her Success

Cardi B shot back at Chris Brown insisting that she made Billboard history this week.

This week, the “Bartier Cardi” rapper became only the third artist in history to have their first three entries on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the top 10 simultaneously, the other two artists are The Beatles and Ashanti. Chris Brown posted on his Instagram yesterday that he and a bunch of other artists have achieved three songs in the top 10 on the chart simultaneously. Breezy clearly misunderstood the difference between having any three of your songs in the top ten at the same time and having your first three songs ever to enter the chart making it to the top ten at the same time.

Cardi B posted a response on Instagram clarifying her achievement for her detractors. “Yall say that I don’t know how to speak proper English, and I say that a lot of yall don’t know how to read,” she said. “Let me be clear! I did not make history for having three songs on the top 10 Billboard Hot 100 at the same time, that’s been done before, more than a few times! I made history for having my first threesongs ever to be entered on the charts hit the top 10 Billboard Hot 100 at the same time, and that has only been done three times.”

She ended her statement saying, “Respect my sh*t and let me live my best life in peace I just wanna be, I just wanna be, successful.” Cardi B’s breakout hit “Bodak Yellow” was the most streamed single by a female artist last year and since the start of the year, the track is seeing a new surge in momentum, jumping two places on the Hot 100 chart this week to No. 10. Can she repeat the same level of success this year with her pending debut album?

Did Chris Brown Take A Jab At Cardi B After She Made Billboard History Again?

Chris Brown seems to take a small jab at Cardi B after she tasted Billboard history once again.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper became only the third artist in history to have their first three entries on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the top ten simultaneously. According to Billboard, the only other two artists to achieve this are The Beatles and Ashanti. Chris Brown doesn’t think that assessment is correct and addressed it with a statement listing all the artists who achieved that over their careers including himself. “Artists to have three songs in the Billboard Hot 100’s Top 10 simultaneously: The Beatles, Bee Gees, Ashanti, 50 Cent, Usher, Akon, T-Pain, Chris Brown, Adele, Lil Wayne, Iggy Azalea, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, The Chainsmokers, Cardi B,” he said.

The problem with Chris Brown’s statement is that all these artists have had three songs charted on the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 simultaneously, but only three of those artists has their “first three entries” on the chart making it to the top 10 at the same time. Cardi B also became the first rapper to have her first three songs on the chart in the top 10 at the same time, putting her name in music history once again.

“Cardi B becomes just the third act – and the first rapper – to place her first three Billboard Hot 100 entries in the chart’s top 10 simultaneously, joining only The Beatles and Ashanti in achieving the feat,” Billboard wrote.

This doesn’t mean that Chris Brown is not a fan of Cardi B, it just means that he wants to highlight his own accolades too all while the media is zooming in on the new rapper. Chris Brown clearly want some respect put on his name and he deserves it, but he just misunderstood Cardi B’s achievement. In related news, Breezy is currently getting ready to drop some new music. On Wednesday he previewed two new songs on IG getting his fans hyped up for a good start to the new year. He didn’t reveal the title or release date for his new music but you can expect them sometime soon given the amount of music he has been releasing lately.

#ChrisBrown said put some #RESPECK on his name too. ?

Cardi B Has Three Songs On Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 Creates History Again

Cardi B is dominating Billboard Hot 100 to kick off her New Year.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper became only the third artist in history and the first rapper to have their first three Billboard Hot 100 songs to chart in the top ten simultaneously. The only other two artists to achieve this are Ashanti and The Beatles, according to Billboard. Cardi B joined the elites among artists last year when her debut single “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” topped the chart making her the first female rapper since Lauryn Hill in the late 1990s to top the chart with a solo record.

Now Cardi B is making more history for herself once again on the most recognized music chart on the planet, the Billboard Hot 100. Her song with G-Eazy and ASAP Rocky, “No Limit” jumps one place this week to No. 4, while Migos’ “MotorSport” with Cardi B and Nicki Minaj holds firm at No. 7 on the chart this week. That’s two singles in the top ten where she is a guest artist on, but her debut single “Bodak Yellow” saw some resurgence over the holidays and jumped two places from No. 12 to 10 on the chart.

“What a great way to start my Year.Thank you Lord,” Cardi B wrote on Instagram. “Only you and i know how much i pray to you. These last few weeks been too much for me but my Lord always find a way to uplift me .Thank you to my fans ,DJS ,Team for the support .Thanks to all the artist who featured me In these songs and thanks guys for showing my second single BARTIER CARDI some love I love you.”

It’s very much possible that she can achieve four songs simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100 if her new single “Bartier Cardi” continues to gain momentum. The song made its debut on the chart at No. 14 and over the holidays it was a top trending song on some major streaming platforms. Further down on the chart, Cardi B can be found on another song “La Modelo” with latin singer Ozuna which entered the chart at No. 52. “LA MODELO HAS ALSO ENTER THE HOT 100 at number 52 .Thank you guys for the support this honestly one of my favorite songs .Thank you @ozunapr por darme la oportunidad,” Bardi wrote on Instagram.
