The “Sun Goes Down” video runs with the Take a Daytrip-produced song’s theme of self-acceptance, framing it within Nas’ dark thoughts and struggles as a teenager. Showing the younger Nas as someone struggling to see a brighter future for himself, it features scenes set at his high school prom and Taco Bell (where Nas once worked). The video also includes a cameo from his father R. L. Stafford.
