Logic, Alessia Cara & Khalid – 1-800-273-8255 (At Grammy Awards 2018) (Live)

[Pre-Chorus: Logic]
I’ve been on the low
I been taking my time
I feel like I’m out of my mind
It feel like my life ain’t mine
(Who can relate? Woo!)
I’ve been on the low
I been taking my time
I feel like I’m out of my mind
It feel like my life ain’t mine

[Chorus: Logic]
I don’t wanna be alive
I don’t wanna be alive
I just wanna die today
I just wanna die
I don’t wanna be alive
I don’t wanna be alive
I just wanna die
And let me tell you why

[Verse 1: Logic]
All this other shit I’m talkin’ ’bout they think they know it
I’ve been praying for somebody to save me, no one’s heroic
And my life don’t even matter, I know it, I know it
I know I’m hurting deep down but can’t show it
I never had a place to call my own
I never had a home, ain’t nobody callin’ my phone
Where you been? Where you at? What’s on your mind?
They say every life precious but nobody care about mine

[Pre-Chorus: Logic]
I’ve been on the low
I been taking my time
I feel like I’m out of my mind
It feel like my life ain’t mine
(Who can relate? Woo!)
I’ve been on the low
I been taking my time
I feel like I’m out of my mind
It feel like my life ain’t mine

[Chorus: Logic]
I want you to be alive
I want you to be alive
You don’t gotta die today
You don’t gotta die
I want you to be alive
I want you to be alive
You don’t gotta die
Now lemme tell you why

[Verse 2: Alessia Cara]
It’s the very first breath
When your head’s been drowning underwater
And it’s the lightness in the air
When you’re there
Chest to chest with a lover
It’s holding on, though the road’s long
And seeing light in the darkest things
And when you stare at your reflection
Finally knowing who it is
I know that you’ll thank God you did

[Verse 3: Logic]
I know where you been, where you are, where you goin’
I know you’re the reason I believe in life
What’s the day without a little night?
I’m just tryna shed a little light
It can be hard
It can be so hard
But you gotta live right now
You got everything to give right now

[Pre-Chorus: Logic]
I’ve been on the low
I been taking my time
I feel like I’m out of my mind
It feel like my life ain’t mine
(Who can relate? Woo!)
I’ve been on the low
I been taking my time
I feel like I’m out of my mind
It feel like my life ain’t mine

[Chorus: Logic]
I finally wanna be alive
I finally wanna be alive
I don’t wanna die today
I don’t wanna die
I finally wanna be alive
I finally wanna be alive
I don’t wanna die
I don’t wanna die

[Outro: Khalid]
Pain don’t hurt the same, I know
The lane I travel feels alone
But I’m moving ’til my legs give out
And I see my tears melt in the snow
But I don’t wanna cry
I don’t wanna cry anymore
I wanna feel alive
I don’t even wanna die anymore
Oh I don’t wanna
I don’t wanna
I don’t even wanna die anymore

Can JAY-Z Take Home The “Song of The Year” Grammy ?

Can JAY-Z take home the covetous Song of the Year Grammy award at the 60th Grammy’s?

Last year gave rise to numerous smash hits but unfortunately only one can take home the Grammy for Song of The Year. JAY-Z had a big comeback year with a classic album 4:44 which gave rise to the title track of the same name. The album was one of soul searching and admission by JAY-Z, as well as, education about money and investments and even the younger generation paused and listen to the OG speaking on a record that will go down in history as one of his best body of work to date. JAY-Z lead the Grammy nominations with eight nods with Kendrick Lamar right behind him with seven.

Whether or not he will win the Song of the Year Grammy is still up for debate, because he has some stiff competition since last year was a big year for music. Hov is one of five artists nominated for Song of the Year for his single “4:44”. The other contenders are Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee featuring Justin Bieber “Decpacito”, Julia Michaels with her single “Issues”, Logic featuring Alessia Cara & Khalid with “1-800-273-8255” and Bruno Mars “That’s What I Like”.

Despacito is the 3rd Spanish-language song in the history to make number 1 on the Billboard chart since “Macarena” in 1996 and before, was “os Lobos’s” in 1987. Despacito is not only one of the most popular song of 2017, it streamed 8.9 billion streams across platforms such as iTunes, Amazon Music, Spotify etc, with 4.3 billion of those streams from YouTube. It has received Latin Grammy Awards for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Urban Fusion/Performance, and Best Short Form Music Video at the 18th Annual Latin Grammy Awards. “Despacito” was ranked the fifth best Latin song of all time in 2017 by Billboard and held a position in the top ten songs of the year by Time, Billboard and Rolling Stone.

Jay-Z is among the rappers who have been rocking up the Grammy awards, should he win a trophy for “4:44”, he will move up the ladder as one of the most awarded artists in the history of the Grammy’s.
