JAY-Z Drops Three Bonus Tracks For 4:44 On TIDAL

JAY-Z felt like treating his fans to some new music even after his new album 4:44 is still popping.

The rap legend drops three new bonus tracks for the album on TIDAL today and if you haven’t heard them yet then you need to asap. So far they are only available for TIDAL subscribers but will likely be on Apple Music in the coming days, hopefully not weeks. One of the single we did already knew was coming and that’s “Adnis” a dedication to his late father Adnis Reeves.

JAY-Z also released a short film for the single “Adnis” this week on TIDAL. Everyone is wondering why wasn’t this song included on the album in the first place after being the first ever glimpse of the album last month. But Hov is very calculated when he does things so perhaps this is a marketing ply to keep the album fresh. The other two bonus singles are “MaNyfaCedGod” and “Blue’s Freestyle / We Family”

JAY-Z Premiere Short Film For “Adnis” [Full Video]

JAY-Z finally premiered his new short film for “Adnis.” The single is a bonus track featured on his new album 4:44.

The short film was premiered on Friday exclusively on TIDAL which means it may take a few days to reach on YouTube. The cut was shot in black-and-white and starred by actors Mahershala Ali who played a boxer and Danny Glover playing his trainer. In retrospect, it appears Ali is playing JAY-Z in the film and Glover is Hov’s father. The single also features the rap legend rapping about his late father Adnis Reeves who inspired the song.

The inspiring single features some powerful lyrics from JAY-Z who raps about his regrets with his father. “Letter to my dad that I never wrote / Speeches I prepared that I never spoke / Words on a paper that I never read / Proses never penned, they stayed in my head,” Hov raps.

Mark Romanek, who directed the video for “The Story of O.J.,” also directed “Adnis” which was the first glimpse of what’s to come on 4:44.
