Vybz Kartel has been giving fans an average of two songs per week since around the end of August, while other artists like Mavado, Popcaan, and Alkaline have been releasing one or two songs per quarter. So is this too much music for the airwaves all at once from the Worl’Boss. Our Gazanation sources told us that is not the case since Vybz Kartel has been known to drop a lot of music in a short space of time.

“This is not too much music and if anything its the fans who are benefiting, they are the ones we are doing this for,” sources said. “Addi (Vybz Kartel) is the hardest working artist in dancehall so some other lazy artists shouldn’t complain when the boss a drop them week in week out.”

Vybz Kartel is currently serving a life sentence for murder and it’s illegal for him to be recording music in prison.

Vybz Kartel Set To Meet Second Daughter For First Time

Vybz Kartel will be meeting his second daughter for the first time.

Since around last year summer, there have been rumors claiming that Vybz Kartel has a second daughter that he has never met. A female posted a video on social media showing off the toddler while proclaiming that the incarcerated deejay is the little girl’s father. At the time Kartel denied the allegations and his common-law wife Shorty refuted the claims. Turns out the female wasn’t lying and now the dancehall star is stepping up to the plate of fatherhood once again.

Vybz Kartel confirmed on Instagram earlier this week that he will be meeting his daughter for the first time ever. “My 2nd daughter.. Never met before.. Hope fi see yuh soon,” he wrote. Sources inside the Gaza told Dancehall HipHop today that he has approved a prison visit for the little girl and her mother to visit him at GP at a date in the near future. “Addi (Vybz Kartel) always take fatherhood very serious, this man love all of his kids equally it doesn’t matter who are their mother,” sources told us.

We’re also told that Kartel is planning to be more involved in his daughter’s life and fully take care of her just like his other four kids. Vybz Kartel currently has three sons with Tanesha “Shorty” Johnson and another daughter with another female.

Back in September, Vybz Kartel posted a photo of himself and his first daughter on IG following a family visit at GP. “Mi n My princess!!! Love you BabyGurl! XOXO,” he wrote. Kartel, born Adidja Palmer is currently waiting on his appeal trial set for February next year in the Jamaica Appeal Court. That will likely be his final chance of securing his freedom following a controversial 2014 murder conviction in the Home Circuit Court.

Vybz Kartel Fans Begging Deejay For More New Music

Vybz Kartel fans are begging the incarcerated deejay to release more new music.

It’s been two months since Vybz Kartel released a new single and Gaza fans are hungry for more new music already. Over the last few years, the Worl’Boss was releasing one and sometimes two or three new singles every week, but these days fans are getting new music at most one or two every other month. His fans are now feeling like the slow supply of new music is diminishing his presence while his rivals like Alkaline and Mavado are dominating the genre.

“When we going to get some new music from Worl’Boss?” one Gaza fan asked on IG. Dancehall HipHop reached out to our sources inside the Gaza camp who told us that the incarcerated deejay is retaining more control over his music and that is why we are seeing a slow down of releases. “Addi (Vybz Kartel) now has more control over his unreleased catalog so the entire team vet carefully whats release and what don’t,” sources said. “A lot of the new music that was released are from producers that Addi voiced for so we don’t have much control over when those producers chooses to release those music. But going forward it’s quality over quantity.”

Despite the slow release from Vybz Kartel, the incarcerated deejay scored his second Billboard hit single with “Fever” climbing the charts and a few other singles in heavy rotation. Vybz Kartel has also been releasing a number of collaborative singles like “Loodi” with Shenseea and “Chance” with Sean Kingston.
